The next day, the school was feeling a bit more energized. Victor's playing really changed people's minds, and the new members that they just got showed that. Ben and Cassie joined of course, but who also joined were Safiya and Chris. Camilla was super excited about her plan actually working, and was also excited to finally get accepted into the band as one of them. To everyone's surprise, Rowan actually showed up after a while as well. Influenced by Camilla, Rowan joined the band and played the triangle.

"Hey, I think I'm getting the hang of this!"

He taps the triangle repeatedly, causing Victor's eye to twitch. He looked behind him at Rowan, glaring slightly.

'Great, just what we needed. The resident meat-head of the school on the triangle.'

Victor was already having a rough time with Camilla not knowing much, but the entire band was driving him mad. People were careless and unfocused around him, which made him think back to when he went to Ashmont. Kids at Ashmont were focused and precise, but the students here at Crestomere were... something else. Students forgot their binders, missed their cues, and when Mrs. P signaled to stop playing, some kept going. Not to mention Rowan in the back distracting the entire percussion section of the band.

'I had it so much better back then, what is it with this band and not doing what they are supposed to?'

Victor got so irritated, in fact, that he accidentally yelled at Mrs. Petracki for not doing her job right. His eyes widened as he realized what he said, but as he tried to explain himself, Mrs. Petracki ordered him out of her class. Victor walked out in shame, closing the door behind him and leaning against the wall next to the door. He covered his eyes with his hand and sighed.

"Uh oh, what did you do?"

His eyes shot open, his head flicking to who started talking to him to find Violet. She smiled nervously at him.

He sighed again, "It's nothing. Aren't you supposed to be in class?"

"Yeah, but my teacher isn't here, and I finished all of my work already, so... I've just been walking around."

Violet spins, showing her boredom, and sends Victor a smile.

"So are you not going to tell me what happened?"

"Why would you care?"

"Well, good sir, I just wanted to make sure you were okay, is all." Victor's eyes widened slightly at that. Why was she so caring to someone she just met? Victor shook his head, looking off to the side and avoiding her gaze.

"I already said, it's nothing to worry about. You should head back to class now."

Violet's smile fell slightly, looking around the hallways then looking back at Victor.

"Yeah, I guess. It was nice chatting with you, thou-"

Mrs. P opens the door, seeing the duo standing there. Violet looked over to her, and realizing who it was, smiled brightly, her aura glowing as she bounced over to her.

"Hi, Mrs. Petracki! It's so good to see you!"

"Violet, hello! I didn't know you knew Victor."

"Yep! We met a little after he played his melody in the halls!" Violet smiled brightly at him as well. Victor blushed slightly, clearing his throat and looking away.

"Yes, well, anything to help the band get the slightest bit better."

"Well I think you guys sound great!"

Mrs. P and Victor smiled at her endless enthusiasm. Violet turned to Victor for a second, placing her hand softly on his arm, her fingertips brushing his arms so as to not overstep since they don't know each other that well yet.
