As the night fell, casting a veil of darkness over Liyue City, Lumine and Childe retired to their room at the inn. They had spent a long and eventful day, and they were both exhausted.
Lumine changed into her pajamas and climbed into bed. Childe followed, his arms wrapping around her.
They lay there for a long time, simply holding each other. Lumine closed her eyes, her heart filled with contentment. She was with Childe, and she knew that everything would be alright.
Childe kissed her forehead. "Sleep well," he whispered.
Lumine smiled. "You too," she replied.
As they drifted off to sleep, Lumine could hear Paimon snoring from the room next door. She smiled. Paimon was such a sweet girl, and she was grateful to have her as a friend.
As Lumine fell asleep, she couldn't help but feel a sense of peace. She was with Childe, and she knew that everything would be alright.
And as she drifted off to sleep, Lumine knew that she had found her forever.
Hours later, Lumine awoke with a start. She felt a warm, heavy weight on her arm. She looked down and saw Childe sleeping soundly, his face buried in her blonde hair.
Lumine smiled. She reached out and gently stroked Childe's hair, her fingers tracing the familiar patterns. He stirred, his eyes fluttering open.
"Morning," he said, his voice groggy.
Lumine smiled. "Morning," she replied. "You were sleeping so soundly."
Childe yawned and stretched. "I must have been exhausted," he said.
Lumine chuckled. "You were," she replied. "You worked so hard yesterday."
Childe smiled. "It was worth it," he said. "We got a lot done."
Lumine nodded. "We did," she replied. "I'm glad we're making progress."
As they lay there, holding hands, Lumine couldn't help but feel a sense of peace. She was with Childe, and she knew that everything would be alright.
And as she drifted off to sleep, Lumine knew that she had found her forever.
The next morning, Lumine awoke to the sound of birds chirping outside her window. She stretched and yawned, feeling refreshed and rested.
She turned to see Childe still sleeping peacefully beside her. She smiled and gently shook him awake.
Childe groaned, his eyes fluttering open. "Morning," he said, his voice groggy.
Lumine smiled. "Morning," she replied. "It's time to get up."
Childe nodded and sat up in bed. He looked out the window, his eyes widening in surprise.
"It's snowing!" he exclaimed.
Lumine laughed. "I know," she replied. "It's beautiful."
They got out of bed and dressed quickly. As they were packing their bags, Paimon burst into the room, her eyes wide with excitement.
"It's snowing!" she exclaimed. "Can we go outside and play?"
Lumine and Childe laughed. "Sure," Childe replied. "But first, let's grab a bite to eat."
They headed downstairs to the inn's dining room, where a hearty breakfast was waiting for them. After they had eaten, they bundled up and went outside.
The snow was falling gently, creating a magical winter wonderland. Lumine and Childe took Paimon for a walk through the city, their laughter echoing through the streets.
