"Y/N"

Law called your name as he had you in his arms, trying to wake you up.

"Little star" He called you with such a sweet and soft voice. He could feel your chest slightly hot, your heart shining faintly.

He caressed your cheek, calling your name again. His voice saddened, imploring you to wake up.

You opened your eyes slowly, and saw the captain of the Heart pirates holding you, hoping you'd wake up. "Law . . ." Your heart glowed even brighter. He stared into your beautiful eyes, mesmerized by their tenderness.

"I-" He wanted to apologize to you, for what had happened, but he couldn't find the words to express himself. He was in his most vulnerable state, where all his barriers were down. There was no point in hiding his true self.

He knew how much he had hurt you with so little action. He knew how scary the world could be when you have no one by your side. As easy as it could be to just not care, there was something in you that melted his heart. Beneath all that naivety and vulnerability, there was a girl who's life had always been manipulated, and she was fighting to do the right thing.

"Y/N" He called your name again as he pulled you into a hug. He was relieved to see you. "I thought I had lost you forever" His melancholic voice softly left his lips. He felt the warmth of your heart, cherishing your love. He had never felt more at peace. For a second, all his worries vanished from his mind.

"I thought you didn't care" He heard your sorrowful words, not a trace of malice in them. You wrapped your arms around him, hugging him back. He felt the warmth of your light shining bright as you were hugging.

"I thought that too . . ." He was disappointed in himself. He pushed back a little to look at your face again, not believing he had you just in front of him. He sighed, realizing the truth of the situation "This ain't real, is it?" He asked more to himself than to you. He was tired of these treacherous dreams. "You are with Doflamingo . . ." He remembered how things were at the moment, his momentary bliss vanishing.

You looked at him, your eyes widening as you realized. "This is a dream . . ." You rested your head on his chest, to Law's surprise. "Of course. How could I think you could care about me?" You chuckled. "Why would you care about me?" He heard your voice crack due to your sadness.

He realized, even if it was a dream, you were very real. Just like the nightmare he had with Doflamingo the day you were captured. Somehow, they were connected by dreams.

"Y/N . . ." He said, moved by your sorrow. He needed to explain everything to her, he needed to apologize. However, before he could say anything else, he vanished. Trapped by threads, he couldn't move as much as he struggled. He saw your light fainting in the distance and tried to call your name, but it was no use.

"Sshhh" He heard someone behind him. "The spectacle is about to begin, fufufufu"

He perfectly knew who was behind him, holding him from reaching you. His hatred and anger grew larger as he could feel that stupid smile of his behind him, enjoying your suffering and Law's helplessness. As much as he struggled, he couldn't get rid of those irksome threads binding his body.

"How?" Law asked to the hateful man. "Does your Devil fruit go beyond the unimaginable?" The pirate wanted to know how could Doflamingo control their dreams. How was he able to connect with them in the oneiric realm?

Doflamingo laughed at Law's confusion. "There are many things you don't know about the powers Devil fruits can reach" He stepped into Law's field of vision, getting closer to him. Doflamingo glanced at him, his smile getting bigger.
