Chapter 14: Monster or Mortal

Upon getting dressed in her cosplay, VI gets a text from you, saying that Ethan is not into it, and the LARP might not happen.

"Hey, Vi." Alex greets her out the Black Lantern.

"Hey, Alex."

"I'm going to look for Ethan when Steph texted that he won't participate in a LARP."

"You too huh? Well I was already gonna tag along with ya."

"Oh great, let's go and find Ethan."

Vi and Alex finds Ethan sitting at the dock. Alex sets her guitar down, then sits across from him.

"Hey."

Ethan frowns. "I don't need, like, cheering up or whatever."

"Okay. So maybe this wasn't the most subtle idea, but...I'd be pretty bummed if me and Vi didn't get to play my first LARP with you.

"I do want to do this! It's just..." Ethan stands, crosses his arms, and faces the end of the dock. A blue aura forms around him. Alex senses his emotions. "Everyone's been working so hard. And if I'm not happy, they'll all be disappointed."

Vi stands up. "Must be weird, having a bunch of adults pressuring you to dress up in a costume and act like you're having fun."

Ethan faces Vi. "Yeah! Especially my mom. She always looks so sad because I'm, like, bummed out, but... I can't just pretend."

"So don't pretend. Just be yourself. Or, yourself with a foam sword and a funny hat." Alex encourage.

"But what if I'm still... you know... not having fun?"

"Then don't. That's fine too. No one will be disappointed in you for being you." Vi insisted.

"......Alright." Ethan picks up his foam sword and horned helmet, placing the helmet on his head and smiling at Vi and  Alex. "But I don't want to do it alone. You two have to help me."

"Of course." Alex nodded.

Vi smiles. "Just try and keep up, kid."

"C'mon (Y/n)! Show me your cunning badass side!" Steph encouraged.

"Like what, do I need a fancy chant to brew you're wicked cauldron and the apples will make slaves out of anything?" You said sarcastically.

"Yeah! You got the whole gang of VK's!"

"You got me!" Jinx chimes in. She and Ekko makes three. Which leaves....

"Yo!"

Niro Price. In his dark make up. IN the laptop since he is with Asben and Kyouwa  in Tekken.

Steph grins. "Awesome! Okay (Y/n), that's you're cue! Sing!"

You rolled your eyes and get into character by brewing some apples.  "Let's give The Mystic Lands of LARP a taste of evil." You brought a spell book and cast a spell. "Wicked ways beneath the skin... let all who taste it now join in."
