Chapter 15: Flicker

Vi was all alone in her  new out preparing to head out to the Spring festival. She cursed herself for that talk with you. More than just friends. Need time to think about. Need time alone. What was she thinking?!

Obviously she giving you an emotional roller coaster by the time you woke up early today and left. But at least she voiced out on what's she feeling. Her feelings were genuine, but by the look in your face you were conflicted and yet senses a bit of fear.

A fear of being loved again, a fear of being wanted. Or the fear of getting hurt over and over until you want to hide yourself and shut the world around you if she were to search around  to find you and show you how much she's sorry and she's was hurting too.  And now she is pacing around trying to pluck up the courage to see you but her own hesitation was stopping her from meeting you out there until she was broken by her conflicts that someone was knocking her door.

"Come in!"

As she says that, Alex enters.

"Oh, hey Alex."

"Hey, I uh....wanted to see if your are heading to the Spring Festival."

"I am. Just... need to sort this out."

Alex read Vi's purple aura  that she's afraid that she'll step out and hear your answer if you were to think that your not worthy to accept being in a relationship with Vi.

"Vi....are you afraid that you would hurt (Y/n)?"

Vi stop and turns to her.

"You don't have to tell me, I was just wondering.... how long have you've known each other and ... by the looks of it, you look terrified that you would mess up."

Vi looks away and sighs before scratching her neck. "Curse those supernatural powers, no offense." She sat on her couch as Alex follow the suit sitting in front.

"I knew (Y/n) since we were kids. She was shy, quiet and always sticking up for her brothers while they were training to be the best fighters for punishing the higher ups. Her first crush was Anakin Skywalker after she and I became friends. They broke up after the whole misunderstanding  and left (Y/n) to drown in the streets drenched cold. Me and her got close, we play together and get a chance to meet my other family with my only sister until.... I did something that tore us apart.... and it was all my fault." Vi clench her bandages recalling the past.

"I met Caitlyn and we fell head over heals. At first, I wanted to impress  her and... I used (Y/n) like a money bag to get a girl.... I said something that I should've said and that's when our friendship broke. The next day when everyone was exited to go on the school field trip, Padme blames (Y/n) for stealing the money for fun raising this whole ordeal. Nobody believes (Y/n) for stealing.... I did too when she ask for my help to believe her and I didn't so I hurt her and rove her out of the house."

Alex frowns as Vi continues.

"And then the next few weeks, a call from the principle told her that her uncle got killed leaving her alone as a cast away orphan. I wanted to confront her, but she was so upset and I didn't care. So I ignore her and hang out with Cait. But it didn't last long when these strange men in black suits broke in to my home and beat my family. "

"Who was the person who hired those thugs."

"I don't know until it was Padme's CEO boyfriend. They even took (Y/n) and her brothers in the warehouse too watch when something happen in the end of the world and .... then everything went tumbling down when I watch her last dying breath." Vi shuts her eyes hearing gun shots.

"I watch (Y/n) die in front of my eyes when she looks at me with regret and heartbreak... betrayed. I didn't want this  to happen, I beg them to let her go, but they just wanted  to kill her. Those bastards kept holding me down and point a gun  at her head." Vi's voice almost crack.  "Her last words were that in the next life, she doesn't want to  have anything to do with me and so they shot her."
