A knock sounded from the front door and Sophie hurried to her feet, bolting to it and swinging it wide open.
"Finn!", she yelped and flung herself into his arms. It had been almost two weeks since they had seen each other with their classes and now they had the whole day together. "I missed you so much."
"I missed you too, princess." He swung her around and shut the door before setting her on her feet. "Tell me everything that's been happening lately."
They talked nonstop for an hour on Sophie's bed. She told him about Jess and her music class. Finn cut in with comments here and there, and it felt so nice spending time with him, as always.
She told him about how Theo would sometimes say something weird or how Victor would make her nervous on purpose. She skipped over the very confusing part where Chase and her kissed. She still couldn't wrap her head around it or figure out what it meant. Finn's eyes narrowed with an emotion she couldn't place. "They like you, Soph."
Her eyes widened. "No, they don't. They're just a bunch of weirdos," He looked away and silence fell between them. An uncomfortable silence that has never been there before. She gave him a poke on the arm, "Finn, what's wrong?"
He just muttered, "Nothing."
She tried brushing off the weird feeling as best as she could. "Do you want to sleep over?", she asked with puppy dog eyes, leaning her body over his. He looked unsure. "Please, please, please, please..."
His lip quirked up a little and he covered her mouth with his hand. "Fine. I forgot how annoying you are." Sophie stuck her tongue out and licked his hand, resulting in a stern glance from him. "Keep that tongue in your mouth, Soph, or I just might use it," he grumbled.
She looked down at him with a weirdly. "What the heck would you use my tongue for?"
"Nothing, Soph."
They cuddled in her bed, watching a movie and Sophie was struggling to keep her eyes open. Her head was laid on his chest, his heart beat lulling her to sleep.
"Take a nap," he grumbled.
She pouted. "I'm not tired." Her body betrayed her and a yawn escaped from her lips. Finn's chest shook with laughter and he slid a hand into her hair, massaging her scalp. "Finn, stop it. You're going to put me to sleep."
All efforts to stay awake failed and her mind faded to darkness.
"Keep that tongue in your mouth, Soph, or I just might use it," Finn grumbled.
"What the heck would you use my tongue for?"
His eyes twinkled and he flipped them over, so he was on top of Sophie, arms above her head. Her breath quickened. His lip piercing glinted in the pink light of her room and she wondered for a moment what it would feel like against her skin.
She shoved the thought deep into the back of her brain as Finn stared down at her, making her squirm. He leaned down, lips brushing against her ear. The motion stole the breath from her lungs. He whispered, "Nothing you could handle, princess." Her body burned with an inner fire as he pulled back and smirked. She flushed with confusion and frustration. What was that gnawing feeling coursing through her? She squirmed under his touch and pressed her thighs together. She had never felt like this before. Especially not with Finn.
He caught the motion and his eyes darkened down at her. "Something wrong, Soph?"
Words escaped her as he leaned down, lips so close to hers.
