Sophie stared in horror at the paper before her.

"I'm sure you're all shaking in your seats right now," Professor Blaire started. Sophie nodded. "But in order to make it in the music industry, you'll just need to get over that fear." She blinked at her professor. Easier said than done.
Sophie braved a glance at Jess next to her who looked perfectly composed and confident as usual.
"I encourage you all to step out of your comfort zone for this performance. You have to be unique. You have to stand out amongst everyone else."
Sophie sighed. Well, that was going to be stressful.
She glanced over the paper again and paused.
Wait. Lyrics?
Oh god, she wanted them to sing. She was going to be sick.
"You okay, Sophie?", Jess asked.
She just nodded and thought about all the ways she could fake an illness or death perhaps before December came around.
After a few long hours of sorting through books and chatting here and there with Katherine, Sophie made her way home.
Theo and Victor had been prepping for the party all week and it was happening that night. Sophie sighed. She didn't have the best track record with parties so far. She invited Jess though and the guys would be there. She could also always escape to her room if it got to be too much. She would have to double check that there was a lock on her door.
Sophie walked into the living room to see Chase and Theo huddled over something on the coffee table, looking guilty and whispering amongst themselves.
"What are you guys doing?" They both whipped around to look at her and blocked whatever it was behind them. Her eyes narrowed and she tried to stand onto her tippy-toes to see, but to no avail. Dumb, tall people.
She slowly made her way over and nudged herself between them. When she saw what laid on the coffee table, her eyes widened.
"My costume." Sophie's beautiful fairy costume was laid across the coffee table. Or what was left of it anyways. It was now a pile of thread and scorched fabric. "What happened?"
Chase sheepishly placed a hand on the back of his head. "Theo was lighting candles and accidentally knocked one over and it caught your costume on fire and a few unlucky fake spiders."
Sophie gaped at him. "You trusted Theo with fire?" Theo was whistling and looking everywhere except at her. "What am I supposed to wear now?"
Chase said, "I actually may have a solution for that."
Sophie stared at herself in the mirror in utter disbelief. She was going to fight Chase. She didn't care how tall he was or how strong, he was actually going down.
