Sophie hopped out of bed the next day feeling immensely better. She had decided to meet with her mom and brother. When she called and scheduled it, she could hear her crying on the other side and almost let out her own tears. They were to meet the next day at the café and Victor was going with her for support.
She walked downstairs and something amazing-smelling hit her nose. Her stomach growled. How long had it been since she had a real meal? Judging by the sharp pain in her side, she would wager at least three days. Whoops.
She walked into the kitchen and blinked. Was she still dreaming?
Her roommates were all in the kitchen and next to them at the table was Finn. They were all laughing and getting along from what it seemed like.
"Hey, princess," Finn greeted. He pulled out his chair and held out his arms. "Come here."
She glanced at the other guys and none of them reacted. No scowl. No glaring. They were just relaxed. She slowly made her way over to Finn and crawled into his lap.
"What's going on?", she asked cautiously. She looked at all of them as they had a silent conversation with each other.
"The guys and I have been talking," Finn said, nervously wrapping his arms around her. "We wanted to discuss something with you."
Nerves flowed through her and her heart began racing. "Discuss what?"
Chase cleared his throat. "We all really like you, Soph. And we care about you. We realized that instead of fighting each other, we'd all try to come together with the common goal of wanting to take care of you."
Her eyebrows furrowed. She didn't understand what he was trying to say. She looked up at Finn. He sighed. He was evidently nervous, doing his usual tic of tugging on his ear. "We want to share you."
"S-Share me?"
"We all want to be with you, Bunny. Just you. And each other," Chase explained. At seeing her panicked face, he continued. "We know you're going through a lot with your mom right now, so you don't have to decide right away. But until then, we'd really love to take care of you in other ways."
Sophie looked at each of them and they all were staring at her intently, waiting for her reply. "H-How?"
Victor sat down next to her. "Sofía, do you remember how you went into little space a few days ago?" She nodded slowly. "Well, we think this new stress with your mom and brother could cause that to happen again and we think it could help if you no longer had the stress of liking all of us and if you had us to take care of you during this time. Only if you'd like that."
She thought to herself. It warmed her heart that they all were willing to set aside their differences for the sake of caring for her. Other than Finn and his mom, she had always taken care of herself. Was she willing to give up that independence and let someone else care for her? She trusted these four men with her life and knew they'd never bring her harm.
She swallowed, her throat feeling sore. "What would it look like?"
Finn played with her hair. "Well for now until you're ready to fully be with us, you can just be our little and us your caregivers. Does that sound okay?"
They all looked at her like they were preparing for rejection. She made eye contact with each of them. With deep blue, passionate hazel, dark brown, and honey chestnut. Taking them in individually and altogether, she knew she had her answer.
"Yes."
"You guys ready?", Sophie asked her friends. Theo, Finn, and Darius were sat on her left and Jess, Chase, and Victor on her right. They were currently crouched behind a bush. Sophie felt like a super-secret spy.
