Chapter 17

Chan was confused, sad, hurt and lost all at once. He felt like he's whole world was ripped into shreds all over again as he sat quietly on his bedroom floor with his knees up, still holding onto the letter that he kept staring at without uttering a word, while on the other hand, Hyunjin, Changbin and Minho stood infront of him panicking.

Hyunjin: Ugh...he's not even picking up his phone, why did he have to leave us again? It's all your fault Chan!!

Changbin: Shut up Hyunjin, for goodness sakes, don't you see he's hurting, and how is this his fault?

Hyunjin: He should've picked up on the fact that Felix was scared or troubled somehow, instead of thinking with his D*ck!!

Minho: Good grief!

Changbin: Dammit Hyunjin! open your mouth one more time, and i'll make Minho take you home!

Hyunjin: Please don't! I'm sorry alright! I'm just worried about Felix, he's probably feeling all alone and scared.

Changbin: Chan, why do you think he'd leave like this, did he say anything to you at all?

Hyunjin: Answer him Chan! Are you just going to sit there and do nothing?

Minho: Sir...maybe I can call in a few cops to find his location and bring him back.

Changbin: (sighs) We can't, he won't go with them, he clearly stated that he doesn't want to be found.

Hyunjin: So what then? we just let him run away!? till when Bin!!? I'm not losing my friend again!

Changbin: (sighs deeply) Chan, what should we do? Talk to us! Chan!.....Chan.....!!!

[Jeju Island Ferry Boat Stop / Drop-off point🚢🌊]

"And here's your ticket sir, you'll arrive at the Jeju city port by the Ferry, and from there you can take a taxi to the Jeju international airport. Any questions?", the ticket sales agent asked the conflicted Felix who shook his head before hesitantly taking the ticket.

Felix grabbed his backpack on the floor then quickly walked towards the men's lavatory and luckily found an empty stall which he went in and locked the door from inside as he sat down on the toilet seat. 

He took out his phone from his jacket which was on silent mode and instantly began sobbing when he saw about 20 missed calls from Hyunjin, 5 from Changbin but none from Chan.

'He probably hates me now. Please understand my love, I'm doing this for all of you' he convinced himself in his mind as he wiped his tears with the toilet paper. 

He sat there for a while staring up at the ceiling when a thought suddenly came to his mind, which made him immediately open up his phone once again and started dialing a certain number.

[📞Phone connected to Japan]

Granpa: H...hello...who's number is this....hello?....

Felix: (sniffles) Pappy!....

Granpa: Oh...B..bokie...is that you my little bokie?....

Felix: (smiles in tears) Yes pappy it's me.....

Granpa: Bokieeee.....(cries on the phone)......

Felix: Pappy please don't cry, please, I'm okay.....

Granpa: But....but where have you been all this time? me and your parents have been so worried about you!....

Felix: I know pappy, I'm sorry. I promise to visit you soon and explain everything. I can't stay long on the phone, I just wanted to check if you're okay.......

Granpa: Forget about me, when are you coming here? did you know that...that your Gammy passed on 3 years ago, she was so heartbroken hearing about your disappearance and got sick (sobbs).....

Felix: (sniffles) I know pappy, and I'm so sorry you both got so worried about me and that I couldn't come to the funeral, I wanted to, but I couldn't....

Granpa: Why couldn't you bokie?.....

🗣️🔈🔉🔊Passengers, the Ferry is going to arrive in 15 minutes, please get your luggage and tickets ready........

Granpa: Bokie!....bokie what's that noise?....

Felix: Pappy I have to go, I love you so much, please keep well and strong for me till I come see you one day okay? Bye pappy.....

Granpa: Wait bokie...bokie...Felix!!......

[Phone disconnected]

Felix placed both his hands over his mouth and cried his heart out not wanting to startle the people coming in and out of the lavatory. He cried for about 5 minutes straight before calming himself down, then took his phone to remove the sim card which he flushed down the toilet and threw the phone into the trash can.

After taking a deep breath, he got out of the stall and went over to the sink to pour some water on his face, then wiped it with some tissues by the sink before heading outside the lavatory. He saw the Ferry approaching from afar and walked slowly heading towards the gate along with other travelers.

His mind wondered off as he stood there in distress when a guy suddenly bumped his shoulder trying to get his attention, which worked, because Felix turned his head slowly to look at him while the guy gave him a wink.

Felix rolled his eyes and looked away while the guy moved a bit closer, "Wanna travel together cutie, I can make you have fun", he whispered, making Felix annoyed as he glared back at him. "F*ck off!...I'm not interested!", he whisper yelled at him before moving away to the side.

"What about me?", a familiar voice suddenly came from behind him, causing Felix to clutch at his chest due to his racing heart before slowly turning around. Tears welled in his eyes seeing Chan standing there a few feet behind him, with hands in his pockets, head tilted slightly and a smile on his face. 

"Still interested in me?", he asked Felix whose breath hitched before instantly dropping his backpack on the ground and ran up to Chan embracing him with a kiss as his tears dropped nonstop from his eyes.
