Chapter 13

Chan smiled to himself feeling relief after speaking with Hyunjin and clearing things due to their petty fight over Felix. But the smile on his face was also happiness for the love they had for Felix, their sunshine, who's returned back to them.

He turned to open the bedroom door slightly, checking on Felix who was still sound asleep before looking at his watch and realized he still had no food in the house. Luckly, the supermarkets around Jeju deliver. 

And so, Chan went down to the kitchen to write down what he needed in the house including Felix's favorite snacks and food he used to love. After the groceries were delivered, he quickly unpacked everything and began to cook dinner since it was around 5pm and Felix might wake up hungry.

Chan was playing some soft music as he swayed to it while checking on the chicken stir-fried pasta and the mushroom sauce on the stove which was also Felix's favorite dish. He thought it was best to make something light for him to eat since it was his first night out of the hospital, to a new home which might be all a bit too much and uneasy for him.

As he turned around to take his beer on the counter, Chan literally jumped in fright when he saw Felix quietly sitting on one of the stools by the counter watching him with a throw on his shoulders. 

"Jeez...that's the second time you nearly gave me a heart attack today", he said exhaling sharply before chuckling at himself while Felix giggled as well before getting up and heading towards him, making Chan nervous as he swallowed a lump.

Felix stood infront of him and gave him a tight hug while Chan did the same. "I'm sorry to scare you again, I was just sitting and thinking how lucky I am to be finally back home, with you, it's still feels unreal", he told him as he looked up at him with a sweet smile.

Chan looked down at him before pecking his lips with a kiss, "I know, and now that you're here, I ain't letting you go ever again!", he stated with a big grin on his face making Felix blush before letting go of him and looking at what he's cooking.

"Smells good, Oh...is that chicken stir-fried pasta with mushroom sauce?', he asked with excitement on his face as Chan gave him a nod before quickly fetching a spoon, then opened the sauce pot and scooped it up for him to taste. "It's still hot but almost ready". 

Felix blew air on the spoon to cool it down before tasting it and opened his eyes in awe. "Mmmm.....Chan this is really amazing, I've always said you should open a restaurant one day, people will most definitely fall in love with your food", he complimented Chan who smirked at his statement as he pulled him closer by the waist.

"Now that you're here, we can have a horse ranch business and a restaurant business, I can take care of the restaurant while you and Hyunjin bond at the horse ranch, I know he'd love that alot being with you almost everyday, just something to also keep you busy, what do you say?", he asked in seriousness with his head tilted slightly.

Felix widened his eyes joyfully and gave him a big smile before hugging him tightly once more, "I'd love that very much Chan, thank you", he replied before facing up at Chan who pecked his nose this time. "Alright, we'll talk about it all tomorrow since Bin & Jin are coming over to see us", he told him.

"You mean to check up on me?", Felix asked with his smile fading a bit, causing Chan to gently lift up his chin looking straight into his eyes. "Don't think about it like that love, they care and love you like I do, buuuut... I just think Hyunjin wants to make sure you're happy and if I'm really taking care of you, otherwise, he'll gladly take you back with him in a heartbeat", he laughed, making Felix laugh as well, which made Chan relieved.

"Lix since the food is almost ready, why don't you go take a shower and get settled, then come back down hmm?". Felix kissed his cheek and nodded his head before turning to leave when Chan suddenly thought of something he was dreading to ask him, but had to. "Uhm Lix!?"...

Felix turned to face him and furrowed his brows a bit at seeing Chan being fidgety with an uneasy look on his face. "Are you okay Chan?", he asked walking a bit towards him. Chan scratched his head while facing down.

"Uhm...have you decided which room to use, because both rooms have a bathtub and a shower. Whatever you choose I don't mind, I just want to help you by moving your stuff in there so you can unpack your clothes ang get settled", he took a deep breath after asking, making Felix giggle a bit before turning around to leave, which left Chan confused as he watched him walk up the stairs.

Felix suddenly stood halfway through the stairs before his face sideways looking back at him, "I think you know my answer by now", he responded with a smirk before continuing his walk up the stairs while Chan grinned widely, then waited till he was gone before jumping up and down in the kitchen with excitement.

After they ate the delicious dinner, Felix helped Chan wash the dishes, though Chan was against it, Felix never takes no for an answer. When they were done, they decided to have wine by the fireplace as they cuddled under the throw while watching a comedy on TV that Chan chose for them.

As Felix laughed his lungs out at the movie, Chan's eyes were on him, he felt like pinching himself to really believe that the love of his life was really sitting next to him, here and now. Plus, Chan had already watched the movie like 100 times. 

He missed everything about Felix, especially his contagious smile. This was also making Chan grateful that they were finally doing the things they've always promised each other back in high school, to move in together, watch funny movies, play games and spend the rest of their lives in happiness.

Chan began to prepare his mind for a new mission as he kept staring at Felix's happy face, which showed being free. His mission and goal now was to make sure Felix is loved more, stays this happy and safe. And who knows, maybe someday they'll be watching movies with their kids if Felix will accept his proposal and hand in marriage.
