My mind likes to travel,
It likes to go 100 miles an hour.
Some days, it will go slower.
It will be at snail speed.
It might take me longer to finish,
Whether it is a sentence or a thought.
My mind loves to go above and beyond.
Beyond the boundaries of the normal.
The places most people won't dare.
The territories that are forbidden or taboo.
My mind gets excited when I explore the unknown.
A majority of people may not understand,
No worries, there are those who do.
I keep those people close.
