My eyes opened, burning each time I attempted to open them farther.
"What?" I said out- loud unwillingly.
"Caitlin!! Hey! You're awake! It's about time!"
I looked over my shoulder,
it was Alexandra.
"oh, um, hi- oouch!-" I began to lift my hand to say hello
"careful! you still have the IV in you!"
for a second, I didn't understand anything she was saying...
once I somewhat understood I was a little startled,
"What?! what am I doing here?!"
"You sort of took a nasty fall on the stairs and blacked out"
Honestly, I didn't remember that happening. It must've been a pretty ugly fall....
Alexandra walked over to the small couch by my bedside and allowed her eyes to wander wherever they would lead her,
one moment looking at my IV,
next at me,
then back at the heart monitor,
over and over again."If you're hungry, Dylan and Scott went to go grab us some burgers over at Burgercity about 20 minutes ago, they should be here about now..."
"I could really go for a burger right now." I sighed
*I WANT YOU AWAY FROM THOSE BURGERS CAITLIN*
the nurse sternly said on the intercom.Alexandra and I exchanged looks and bursted out laughing.
Just then,
The door burst open,
and I mean,
BURST OPEN!
IT BROKE OFF ITS HINGES!
Scott awkwardly stood there, holding the doorknob in his fist as if this was no big deal.
"uhhh..." Scott blankly stared into space.
"Just put it back Scott!" Dylan playfully rolled his eyes and walked in
"We got Burgers from Burgercity! Who's ready to dig in?!"
"ITS ABOUT TIME!" Alexandra shouted stealing the bag from Dylan, hurriedly shuffling for her burger in the bag.
Meanwhile Scott gave up on trying to fix the door, and leaned it against the door panel, giving it the illusion everything was normal.
Alexandra threw me a burger and winked at me.
I tore the perfectly wrapped packaging off of the burger only to reveal something more, the beautiful HAMBURGER.
I took in one big bite, savoring every heavenly bite.
"How you feeling Caitlin?" Dylan asked
"Better actually! I'm just feeling achey. Hopefully I can sleep it off cause I hate the medicine they have here."
"That's everywhere" Alexandra laughed.
"I'm sorry, we really should've helped you practice more so you wouldn't have put this much stress on your body." Dylan apologized.
"What?! No need to apologize Dylan, I'm just glad I'm okay."
"Me too" Dylan added.
"Who wants to watch Dancing with the Stars?" Alexandra asked excitedly
"That's overrated" Scott replied, raining on Alexandra's parade.
"YOU'RE OVERRATED" Alexandra laughed and playfully threw a couch pillow at him.
They both exchanged laughs and threw pillows at each other.
"Well don't worry, you'll be outta here before you know it, then you'll be back at it again." Dylan said softly
" And I can't wait!" I said eating the last bite of my burger.
Dylan smirked
"Seriously, I've never had a burger this good!" I added, enjoying the few bits of hamburger I had in my mouth.
"Burgercity always has the best burgers! Next time we go, I outta get you the Ocean Breeze burger it has-"
The door opened, and almost fell down until the nurse tried to catch it with whatever strength she had.
"OK- Now who did this?" She looked confused and began to look around the room for one of us to confess.
"Anywho- Caitlin you have a visitor, and he's quite handsome too..." She smiled and headed out the door,
I looked at everyone in the squad, confused.
"Caitlin!"
I turned my head around to see,
John.
