Auburn fires of the foreground black
Razor smoke in crescent moons
Cracking shards of midnight branches
When the trees burn unseen
Something is hidden behind the charcoal void
Cities of color blind with light
Sleep in the dead of breaking night
Unaware of the darkening flames
The lies of history flood back in a wave of heat
Tsunami caves of picturesque blame
Physique of shadows cross the plank
Will they survive or repeat the memories of thee?
