---Hours Earlier---

Mark paces back and forth in his room, his head down and brows crunching together. He goes to one side of his room and then to another. Passing by posters of heroes such as the Guardian of the globes and comic books laying cluttered om his bedroom floor.

"Dang it! I got les than a week for the science project and I have nothing..." the boy said as he bit his nails.

"Hmm... I blame Saitama for giving me this work out habit!" Mark said, turning the blame to his trainer.

The boy had grown to love working out and training. Too much if you ask anyone. He gets occupied in the intense pain and burn, yet he relished the feeling. Unfortunately, he neglected the papers and books laying alone in his room.

"Mark! Come down here and help me move this furniture." The mother called from down stairs.

Whoosh!

The boy hopped into the air and levitated inches off the ground, then zoomed forwards in quick flight. He popped out in front of his mother and made the woman back up.

"OH JESUS! Mark, don't do that! You almost gave me a heart attack..." she exclaimed, palcing her hand on her chest.

"He he he he... Sorry mom, I thought it would be faster this way"

"Feet on the ground, young man. No buts" she ordered the child.

Mark floated down and his feet touched the floor. He rubbed the back of his head and proceeds to go towards the couch that was slanted. He got a good grip on the furniture and lifted it up. He simply bent his knees and raised it up without effort.

"Where should I put this?"

"Over there, sweetie. After this, move that one over there" Debbie answered her son and pointed another furniture to the other side of the living room.

Hours passed by and the living room, kitchen, garage, and the backyard became decluttered and are rearranged into a new look. Mark was starting to yawn and feel sleepy throughout the chore.

"This is getting boring..." he thought, but dared not to speak it out loud.

The work was not physically demanding as it was used to. He was thankful he didn't have to struggle anymore because of his powers, but the lack of intense stimuli was making him listless by the hour. He just day dreamed for the rest of the time and got scolded by him mother for not paying attention and almost breaking a vase.

"I wish something happens..." the boy prayed for the boring torture to stop.

Tack! Zmmp...

The household lights suddenly turned off and the hum of the power disappearing was audible. It as dimly lit inside the house and the only light source was from afternoon sunlight. The voices of the neighbors were heard outside and it was evident the problem isn't an isolated incident.

"Oh my, the power went out?" Debbie pointed out.

"And we're not the only ones having the problem" Mark added while looking out the window.

He quickly got out and jumped to the air and floated in the sky. He had a bird's eye view of the neighborhood and with his enhanced hearing, he honed it to pick up conversations.
