Ch.1 Moving to Blue Valley

2 days earlier,

Courtney Whitmore sits in the car with her mother, Step father Pat and her new baby brother Mike.

The car arrives at a small house. She gets out of the car and looks at the new house.

"Nice house" Pat said with a smile.

"Yeah I gusse Pat I left my friends for this stupid place" Courtney huffs.

"Hey come on you'll meet new friends" Pat said.

"Yeah sure" Courtney mutters.

Courtney sees a 16 year old boy next to their house. The boy smiles at her and walks over to her.

"Hi it's so nice to meet you" the boy said.

"Hey I'm Courtney" Courtney said as she shackes the boy's hand.

"My name is Rick" The boy said with a smile.

"See your making new friends already" Pat said.

"Pat don't embarrass me" Courtney snares.

"It's okay I like meeting new people do you want to meet my dad?" Rick asked.

"Sure" Courtney replies.

Rick takes Courtney's hand and walks over to a man with brown hair.

"Hey dad this is my new friend Courtney" Rick said.

"It's nice to meet you Courtney I'm Rex Tyler" Rex said as he shakes hand with Courtney.

"It's nice to meet you too" Courtney said.

"Are you going to Blue valley high?" Rick asked.

"Yeah it's my new school" Courtney said.

"I go there too" Rick said.

"Will I see you around?" Courtney asks.

"Yeah I'm always in the art room" Rick said cheerfully.

"At least I know someone in this town" Courtney said.

Pat drives Courtney to school.

"Have fun at school" Pat said.

"Whatever Pat" Courtney mutters as she steps out of the car.

Courtney walks into the school. She felt uncomfortable because she didn't know anyone. Suddenly a african american girl walks up to her.

"Hi I'm Beth ! Are you new ?" The girl know as Beth said with excitement.

"Um yeah I'm new but it's nice to meet you Beth" Courtney said.

Beth hugs Courtney which suprise her.

"Sorry I'm a hugger" Beth admits.

"It's okay I gusse I need a hug after moving away from my old friends" Courtney said.

"Can I be your friend ?" Beth asked with excitement.

"Uh sure" Courtney said.

"Great we're bffs !" Beth cheers.

Courtney let's out a laugh.

"Yeah bffs for life" Courtney said.

"Do you want to have lunch together?" Beth asked.

"Sure" Courtney said.

Things were looking up for Courtney.
