"Thursday afternoon.. I'm gonna visit your Aunt and Grandmother. Don't want to go with me?"

Even after all these years, Ging still has to ask that question.

"Yeah."

They're in the dining room again, sitting at the table eating breakfast.

Gon hadn't said a word to his father, they never really spoke unless Ging made an effort.

Which was rare.

"You don't have to go to school that day if you don't want too." He said softly.

"Thanks for the permission, Ging. I'm going to school now." He rolled his eyes and stood up. Dropping the plastic bowl in the sink and speed walking towards the door.

Grabbing his book bag on the way out, he started his journey towards his personal hell.

Gon had been acting a little weird lately. But Killua wasn't gonna let that deter him from talking to him.

Gon would get over whatever it was soon.

Killua readied a smile and walked over to the boy.

"Hi Gon." his smile only brightened when Gon turned to him.

He didn't notice the distant glint in his eyes.

"Leorio, Kurapika, and I were gonna go to the arcade later. Do you wanna join us?" Killua gazed at him hopefully.

"Nah, can't." His response is short.

"Oh! Okay, then we can just stay at my place, or-or yours. I'm okay with whatever." He takes a step towards him, reaching out for his hand.

Gon looked at his hand before taking a step back.

"I'm busy Killua." He side steps him and walks off.

Killua doesn't let him get far before he grabs his hand.

He flinches back at the look in the others eyes.

"Just leave me alone!" His voice echos against the empty halls. He yanks his arm out of Killua's hold and walks towards the exit of the building.

Killua doesn't realize he's crying until he feels the collar of his shirt soak up.

Killua carried on with the rest of his classes like nothing happened. He wiped his tears away and pushed away and emotions that he may feel.

Gon can lash out on him if he wants. He's not gonna let it ruin his day.

Not at all.

He let it ruin his day. Right now he's with Kurapika and Leorio at the arcade and he's not having fun.

He's not letting himself have fun.

But how can he?! He's so confused and upset right now. He wants to pull at his hair.

And Gon's for yelling at him like that.

"Are you okay Killua?" Kurapika's soft voice took him away from his thoughts. He tried not the jump back but he failed miserably.

"Ye-yeah! I'm good. I'm okay." His voice lost confidence as he kept talking. Looking around nervously.

"I'm good." He sighed out.

Leorio looked at him with a fixed stare. "Okay..." He trailed off.

"Is it Gon?"

Killua looked away from the both of them. Crossing his arms over his chest. He leaned against the game machine that Leorio was playing on.

"It's always Gon." He bit out. "He's just so stupid sometimes. I don't know what to do."

"I think you should stop bothering with him."

"Leorio!"

"I'm serious Kurapika! What good has he ever done? So what he carried a few books and pulled his end of on the assignment. That's called being a decent person."

"He's trying." Kurapika defended. "He visited Killua more than you did when he was in the hospital."

"I was busy! He probably did it cause he felt guilty for putting him there in the first place-" Killua didn't stick around for the rest of the argument.

He left the arcade alone, he tried not to think about everything as he placed his headphones in his ears and walked home.
