IN WHOLE UNITED STATES, by the analysis, Alaska has been the one with the most unknown murders.

"..There were reported almost hundreds of dead bodies in the last month, all suffered the same injuries—found slashed opened by what the Animal Department described as an animal attack. The Police Department of Alaska are still working on the investigations on what kind of animal could cause such incidents—"

Kate took the remote from Carmen's hands and turned off the television furiously. The whole family were gathered around in the living room, all nervously awaiting for the seventh family member to arrive home. "Hundreds dead bodies in the last month! Are you hearing this—?"

Carmen exhaled and motioned Kate not to continue yelling, "We don't know what's going on with her, Kate."

"The girl's gotta eat," Garret shrugged, earning a glare from Kate as he closed his mouth with a nod. Understanding, that such comments are not needed in this kind of situation. "This has been happening for almost two months now, we must do something." Eleazar averted his eyes towards Carmen with pleading eyes. They have been discussing since the beginning of these murders that the siren needs help of control, and that the only one who could help her now is; Carlisle Cullen.

The tenth gutted out body of a man was thrown on the ground with the rest as Selene stood up, running her thumb against the side of her lips and then sucking on her bloodied finger. She glanced around the place, which was now filled with drunken dead men as she had just finished her feed of the day. Selene shrugged with a hum as she returned to her seat by the bar and lightly twirled the rest of the drink in her glass, running her tongue against her teeth to erase the rest of the red liquid. The ringing of her phone echoed through the place as she winced at the sudden loud sound. Fuck the supernatural hearing.

"Yes?" She answered, slightly annoyed by interference with her lunch. "cariño, where are you?" Carmen's sweet and kind voice was heard from the other line. Selene exhaled and turned her head over her shoulder, "Just finished eating,"

A disappointment sigh came from Carmen as she knew what Selene had meant with that answer. "Can you please come home? We must talk, it's urgent."

Shivers were sent along Selene's spine at the sound of her inpatient and nervous voice. "I'll be there soon."

"Alright. Be careful, estimada."

With that sentence said, the line beeped and Selene returned her phone to its place: in her jacket. She jumped down from her chair, glass still in her hand, as she took out a lighter. Selene walked across the scrambled dead bodies, careful not to step on it, and faced them all once she reached the exit. The siren threw the remaining drink onto them and lit up the lighter before throwing it in the middle. Fire soon dispersed once she exited the bar and let the bodies be lit up as she zipped up her jacket and returned home.

"I'm sorry, say what now?" Selene's mouth was agape at the hearing of the Denali's decision. "What you've heard." Garrett spat and the siren rolled her eyes at his cockiness. "It's for the best, Selene. The police will soon suspect that these incidents weren't an animal attack, if they continue. We're leaving tonight." Carmen explained yet again to the girl, standing in the middle of the living room.

"They'll suspect even more things if my feed got to best of me in Forks! I try my best to control it, but it's stronger than me, Carmen." Selene argued. These few months, the siren could barely control her thirst like she had for the last 5 years she had came in touch with the sea. It was something odd, something even she couldn't control—herself being the one who always had her killing nature in control out of all vampires. She was just a child, experiencing being different and casted out as a freak.

Carmen stepped forward to the girl, placing a comforting hand on her cheek as she caressed it with her thumb. "Carlisle will help you. I am sure of it. Trust me, mi pequeña sirena, please."

Selene hasn't had a mother figure in a long time. When she did have a mother in her life, she didn't have a mom. Maya Garcia was a siren who replaced her thirst for blood with thirst for alcohol, trying to ease the one while getting even more obsessed with another. Soon, it got to her being a single mother and drowning herself in whiskey, she left into the midnight sea and never returned. Ones say she has passed—that sailors had found and captured her, while others say she's resting in the deepest parts of sea. Many people noticed Maya had more love for her first, and eldest child—Carlos Garcia. He was much like his father, confident, short-tempered, a tease and 3 years older than Selene. But he wasn't the perfect child, he himself said so. But the history of the Garcia family, was complicated.

Selene nodded unsurely. Even if she would refuse, they would make her go one way or another. Carmen was right, however, she has to get her thirst under control.

Carmen and Selene have took off in the night, the Spanish vampire averting her glance multiple times to the siren who was peacefully sleeping. However, when Carmen turned her head to the road, Selene opened her eyes—clearly wide awake with overthinking thoughts in her mind.

Living with Cullen couldn't be so bad, right? With Carmen's description, they lived in the woods, near the lake where Selene could swim from time to time and explore its water. But, she had her suspicions. She was feeling that with her movement in Washington, multiple things might happen. Bad things. They were just thoughts, though. Right?

The following morning, Carmen and Selene arrived in Forks, Washington. Half an hour later, the vampire has pulled over in front of the Cullen residence where Selene had noticed was in the middle of the woods. The two exit the car, not one word said between each other, as Selene got her bag out of the car while Carmen greeted Carlisle and Esme who were standing in the entrance.

"You must be Selene, I'm Carlisle. We met once when you were little,"

Selene shook his hand and scrunched her nose at the sudden change of smell that came from them and the house. Death.

"Yeah, I remember you..kinda." Selene answered in a quiet tone and Esme introduced herself as Carlisle's wife. She returned to the house while Carlisle stood by the doors, waiting for Selene and Carmen to say their goodbyes.

The two share a tight embrace, "Call me every night, Selene. Carlisle will take good care of you, treat him like you treat us."

Selene snickers at her statement, "Don't think I'll treat anyone like I treat you and Eleazar, but I'll try." She said in the vampire's hair as Carmen lets out a small breathy laugh. "Be safe. Te amo mucho."

"I love you, too."

Carmen watches Selene enter the house, sharing one last glance at the vampire before disappearing from her view. The two vampires nod at each other and the Spanish woman leaves in her car.
