COUPLE OF DAYS
have passed since Selene's arrival in the middle of the school semester. She walked through the hallways with head high confidently as she couldn't care less about the jealous comments of the fewer of the high school girls. She is a Siren, one of her possessions is majestic, goddess-like beauty. In greek mythology, they were described as irresistible to every sailor, with their attraction.

"Speed up, will you? I'm hungry." Selene complained and walked past Edward faster in the cafeteria, every boy inside nudging the other for they to all fawn over her.

"And her?" Bella asked from the other table as she sat with her friends. "That's Selene Cullen. She got here almost a week ago and has boys already wrapped around her finger." Jessica said with cleared annoyance in her voice while they all watch Mike scramble from his seat to carry Selene's plate for her. They see her thank him as she sat down and he smiled nervously, but was scared away in fright of Emmetts glare.

"She's smoking hot, though." Ben stated to which Eric nodded in agreement. "Who's he?" The girls averted their eyes to Bella's glance on the doors as no other but Edward Cullen walked inside. "That's Edward Cullen, totally gorgeous, obviously. But apparently, nobody here is good enough for him." Jessica explained with a sigh, while not much to her knowledge, Edward smirked at her words. "Like I care, you know."

Bella watched him sit down by the table where the rest of his siblings sat. Every couple talked to each other while Selene ate her food, clearly bored out of her mind. Until she noticed Edward's look on the girl next table, not taking her eyes off him. Much to his confusion, he couldn't read her mind or even see into it. Selene nudged him under the table with her foot, "It's rude to stare."

Edward averted his glance nervously to Bella and back to his food, nodding. Selene slumped back in her chair, taking a large bite out of her apple as she sent a wave towards their table. Bella was quick to turn around returning to her food while Mike and Ben next to her nervously waved back to the Siren, and she simply giggled at their little fight, listening to them argue about which one she greeted.

The Cullen were all waiting in the parking lot around their cars, waiting for Selene to finish her last class. She had just entered the parking lot where the scene had already begun—horns blasting as the black van made his way swerving around in the parking lot, the driver clearly not in control. Just as the van was about to hit Bella's truck and take her with into its doom, Edward jumped in between and pushed the black van away with his hand, creating clear damage to the vehicle.

Everyone rushed to the girl who was still recovering from shock as Selene joined Alice's side. "Who's the girl?"

"Isabella Swan, as I heard." Alice answered. She hasn't heard, the vampire was known for simply knowing things before they happen. And of course she would know Bella's name. The Cullens all leave, furious on how Edward simply uses his advanced unhuman strength in public, in front of a human girl.

Selene was returning from her night swim as she couldn't find sleep, her thoughts filled with the shape-shifter that couldn't seem to leave them. Meanwhile, Paul's situation was the same. He tossed in his bed into multiple positions, shutting his eyes close multiple times, blinking rapidly to tire his eyes—nothing. He let out an exhale and watched the dark ceiling of his room.

In the Cullen residence, Edward had bumped into the Siren as she scrunched her face in disgust. "Why do you smell like...that? Woo, That's nasty!" She waved her hand dramatically, trying to avoid the smell from entering her nostrils any further. Edward rolled his eyes in annoyance and walked past her, "You seemed really close with the Swan girl." She expressed, turning to the stairs on which Edward stopped walking. He let out a sigh, of course she'd noticed. Selene noticed everything, she was the drama queen of the Cullen family.
