Elsewhere, Jiyang and Haoxuan both stood up—though they weren’t together—as they had heard everything through the bracelet A-Yuan was wearing.

Haikuan rushed over to A-Yuan, who had suddenly sat down on the stairs, tears streaming down his face. "Dad..." A-Yuan whispered.

Back in Yibo’s room, Gu Wei was so shaken by Yibo’s words that his legs gave out, and he sat down on the bed, his hands trembling. "W-what did you say?" he asked as his tears began to fall. Eros stepped toward him.

"My tumor is back, and it’s already stage 4," Eros repeated. Gu Wei began sobbing uncontrollably. "How many months?" he asked through his tears. "Ten," Eros replied, trying to hold back his own emotions. He pulled Gu Wei into a hug. "I don’t want to see you crying," Eros whispered, and Gu Wei covered his mouth to muffle the sound of his sobs, but no matter how hard he tried, his sobbing still filled the room.

Meanwhile, Mianmian couldn’t hold back her tears. "I just hope he agrees to the surgery," she whispered, as Jili and Youn embraced her in comfort.

On the other hand, "Uncle, is what they said true? Is Dad going to d@e?" A-Yuan asked while crying. "Even if Dad ignores me for the rest of my life or doesn’t spend time with me, I just want him to live," he said, and Katrina moved closer to him. "Your dad won’t d@e. Grandma won’t allow it," she assured him, though she was also in tears.

"I already know that my mom is Gu Wei. Maybe he can help Dad get better, Uncle, Grandma," A-Yuan said, ignoring the stunned looks on their faces. "I lost my nana once. I don’t want to lose my dad too," he added, surprising them even more because they knew that Ebisu had asked baby A-Yuan to call Gu Wei "Nana" when he grew older.

"Does that mean A-Yuan is no longer mad at Gu Wei since he called him Nana?" Haoxuan asked while listening in on the conversation. Ever since A-Yuan had found out that Gu Wei was his other parent, he hadn’t called him "Nana." "I wonder how Gu Wei is doing," he added.

"How did you find out he’s your Nana?" Katrina asked, and this time, they had A-Yuan sit down on the sofa. A-Yuan then told them everything Gu Wei had shared with him. As they listened, they couldn’t help but cry, and even Lay, who already knew the truth, couldn’t stop his own tears from falling.

"Grandma, Grandpa, I want to see him," A-Yuan said, his voice filled with longing. Lara’s heart felt like it was breaking as she looked at him. "I don’t want to lose either of them. Even if my family won’t be complete, it’s okay as long as I know they’re both alive," he whispered, tears streaming down his face. Everyone turned their gaze to Lay, who was also teary-eyed while watching A-Yuan.

Elsewhere, Eros gently patted Gu Wei’s back. "I’ve accepted what’s going to happen to me, especially knowing you’ll end up with a good man," Eros said, feeling Gu Wei shaking his head in protest. "What about our child? What about me?" Gu Wei said softly, but Yibo still heard him.

"I know Lay will treat him as his own once you’re married," Eros said, causing Gu Wei to pull away from his embrace. "I thought you were going to fight for me? Is that it? Are you just giving up?" Gu Wei asked, his tears falling uncontrollably.

Eros wiped Gu Wei’s tears away. "I’ve never given up on you, even when I didn’t remember you being a part of my life. I just saw that you’ve chosen the right person to marry. Zhan, all I wish for now is to see you happy, even if it’s not with me," Eros said, and this time, tears finally escaped his eyes. Gu Wei shook his head, then suddenly ran out of the room. He had no idea where his feet were taking him, and before he knew it, he found himself in the garden.

He fell to his knees. "What did we do to deserve this? Why do you keep punishing us?" he cried out in anger. "What do I need to do to make him live longer?" he asked again, sobbing.

On the other hand, "Lay, I know you love Gu Wei, but he’s the only one who can convince Yibo to undergo the surgery," Katrina suddenly said, causing Lay and A-Yuan to look at her in confusion. "Grandma, what do you mean?" A-Yuan asked as he stood up.

Lay looked at Katrina as if asking how Gu Wei was connected to Yibo’s surgery. "When Yibo found out that Gu Wei was going to marry you, he decided not to go through with the surgery because he said he had no reason to live anymore," Katrina explained. A-Yuan’s eyes widened. "What about me?" he asked, drawing everyone’s attention. "Nana is getting married, and Dad’s choosing to just d@e?" Haikuan turned away, unable to look at A-Yuan.

A-Yuan walked over to Lay, who was still in shock. "Uncle, could you please just let Nana be with us?" A-Yuan pleaded as he knelt in front of Lay, shocking everyone. Lara rushed toward him. "Uncle, even if Dad doesn’t want to live anymore, I still want to be with him," A-Yuan said, refusing to stand up even as Lara tried to help him.

"Uncle, I know I’m asking for your happiness, but I just want him to live," A-Yuan continued, still on his knees as Lay tried to lift him up.

"Please give Nana to us, Dad needs him and I need him too. I still want to be with them Uncle" He cried. "I still need my parents, I want to be selfish, my whole life I have always put other people first, before myself and now I want nothing but my parents" He added, still kneeling.

Meanwhile, Haoxuan and Jiyang’s hearts were breaking as they listened to the words coming from A-Yuan. If it hurt them this much, how much worse would it be if Gu Wei heard this?

Elsewhere, Gu Wei froze when he heard Mianmian’s voice. "You’re the only one who can help him."

Inside the house, Youn and Jili rushed in and found Yibo crying. "Yibo, why haven't you told him that your life could be extended if you undergo surgery?" Jili asked, puzzled.

"Because he's already happy with someone else, and that's what matters," Yibo said, standing up.

"But A-Yuan is still here," Jili pointed out. Yibo took a deep breath. "Yes, he is, but I barely know him, and I know Zhan will take care of him."

"I'll use the few months I have left to make memories with him. In whatever time I have, I'll do my best to make up for what I lacked as his father," Eros said, turning his back to hide the tears falling from his eyes. "My son, I'm sorry, but Dad is just too tired to keep fighting" he thought.

Outside the house, Gu Wei looked up at Mianmian, though he remained kneeling. "Yibo still has a chance to live if he undergoes surgery," she said, causing Gu Wei to stand up quickly.

"But because you're getting married, he chose not to go through with it," Mianmian added, and Gu Wei's eyes widened in shock.

"Maybe when he first saw you, he found hope and immediately told me he would have the surgery. But when you stayed at the house in the small village, we talked, and he told me he wouldn't proceed with it anymore."

Elsewhere. Lay made A-yuan stand up. "I'm married"
