"I’m already married," Lay said, shocking everyone. A-yuan, who had been kneeling, immediately stood up. "Not to Nana, right? No, no, please tell me it's not to her?" A-yuan asked, tears streaming down his face.

Elsewhere.  "About that man you spoke with," Jili said, catching the attention of Eros, who had his back turned to them. "Do you remember the picture you gave me when I first started working for you?" Jili asked. Eros shook his head. "I don’t remember," he replied, and that’s when Jili remembered that Yibo had no memory of his past, as the photo Eros had shown him was before his surgery, 16 years ago. "Why? What’s so important about him?" Eros asked curiously.

Jili glanced at Youn before turning back to Yibo. "The man you spoke to at the banquet is the same man who was with Zhan in the picture..."

Meanwhile, Gu Wei didn’t let Mianmian finish her sentence and quickly rushed inside, running toward the room where Eros was. When he opened the door, the three of them were in shock, as if they had seen a ghost, causing Jili to stop what he was about to say.

"Zhan," Eros immediately called out to him, and Eros was surprised when Gu Wei hugged him tightly. "You have to live. Our child needs you. I need you," Gu Wei said, but by the time he finished speaking, his words were broken by sobs. The door opened again, and Mianmian appeared, out of breath. Eros looked at her with confusion.

"I told him," Mianmian said just as Gu Wei pulled away from his embrace with Eros. "You’re not going to d@e. You’re going to have the surgery," Gu Wei said, gripping both of Yibo’s cheeks. Eros, standing to the side, was also on the verge of tears as he looked at the misery on Gu Wei’s face.

"If this is what I always have to see on your face, maybe I would have been better off never seeing your face at all," Eros said sadly, tears falling from his eyes. Gu Wei shook his head. "No, you need to see me because I’m not going to let you leave us. You can’t leave me and our child behind," Gu Wei said, noticing the confusion in Eros’s eyes. "I’m not engaged to Lay," Gu Wei said, shocking the four people in the room.

"Lay is already married," Gu Wei added, leaving them all wide-eyed with shock at his next words.

Meanwhile, they were all startled when the doorbell suddenly rang. The helper immediately went to check who was outside. "Who are you?" the helper asked. "I’m with Lay," the man replied with a smile, and the helper let him in. Everyone’s attention shifted to the man who had just entered.

"He's my husband" Lay said, catching the attention of everyone in the living room. Their expressions were hard to read, filled with uncertainty and confusion, but despite their hesitation, the man approached them to introduce himself. "I’m Jackson," he said with a smile.

Jackson was a friend of Eros, but he wasn’t aware of the full details of Eros's life over the past 16 years. Jackson was also the one Eros asked to investigate Gu Wei and to conduct the first DNA test between A-yuan and Gu Wei, which turned out negative. How Gu Wei’s group found out about the DNA test, even though Jackson hadn’t revealed Yibo's plan to them yet, was because Gu Wei had put something on Eros’s phone, allowing them to read everything on it. Gu Wei did this when he had access to Eros's phone while they were at the house Eros had built. As for the background information Eros had requested about Gu Wei, all of it was true.

The real Gu Wei bore a striking resemblance to Ebisu. He wore glasses but had no mole below his lip. In short, Gu Wei was Ebisu’s doppelgänger, and the two never had a chance to meet. Gu Wei was also a friend of Jackson, who was married to Lay. When the real Gu Wei had his accident, they called Jackson because Gu Wei had no family left, having lost contact with his father, who was also Mianmian’s father, a long time ago. So when Gu Wei d@ed, they used his identity for Ebisu to seek revenge on Eros and Liying. In this plan for revenge, Ebisu and Lay pretended to be engaged, with Ebisu posing as Gu Wei, so it would be easier for him to approach Yibo's family and Liying.
