I spent a few hours in the room until Past Kuro and Past Twilight released me. I mean I could've just broke free but I don't want to scare them. As they untied me from the chair I stood up and patted their heads. "Why were we so cute when we were teenagers?" I said with a smile while Past Kuro and Past Twilight looked irritated at what I was doing. They took my arm and threw me in front of them to the ground. I didn't know we were this strong... "Don't test your luck Future Zetsura... We trust you because Celestia does." Past Twilight said in an annoyed tone. Celestia? Is she still alive? My dearest mentor... Oh, how I missed her... I want to see her but that would probably cause a problem in the timeline. "Before we work further with this team-" Before Past Kuro could finish his sentence, I stepped in and laughed a bit. "Excuse me... did you say we and team?" I asked him while laughing. "Yeah... a team... we need to work together and-" I interrupted Past Kuro once again and finished his sentence. "And I need you to stay still with Past Twilight in this castle and not follow me to bring back your friend... How does that sound?" I said with a smile on my face. I didn't want anything to happen to Past Kuro because whatever happened to him would cause me to disappear like the others. The others... I quickly ran around them and created a tornado to tie them up. As the tornado disappeared, they both were tied up in a chair. Unlike them, I actually know how to tie a knot. They tried to untie it but failed. "Okay so sit back and relax while I do the rest of the work." I opened the castle doors and was about to leave but I stopped when Past Kuro wanted to say his final words. "HEY! LEEQA'S MY FRIEND SO I WANT TO HELP" Past Kuro yelled in the distance. I sighed and looked at him with my hands still on the doorknob. "You can help me and him by simply staying still capiche? Well, I gotta go now so have fun staying still for a few hours." I opened a portal towards a forest and walked through it. I looked at the two of them one last time before I went on the journey and waved. What I didn't notice was that Past Kuro's yelling was simply a distraction for Past Twilight to untie the rope. As the portal closed, I saw Past Kuro running towards the portal. I panicked and tried to force the portal to close but failed. Before it disappeared, Past Kuro went through the portal and tackled me while glaring at me. "You had one job..." I pinched the bridge of my nose and growled. He smirked. How arrogant was I? "I told you... Leeqa is my friend and I will save him... No matter what, you won't stop me." He said with a teasing voice. I am so done with this... I stood up and picked him up by his collar. "Listen... If you followed me then it would mean bad things are going to happen to me. This is for the sake of our timeline." I said as I stared right through his eyes. He seemed unfazed by the threats I was giving to him. His smirk stayed on his face as he replied in a mocking tone. "Your timeline by the way... mine is just fine." He smirked. I swear... My past will be the death of me. "I am helping you here... so you best listen to me..." I said as I put him down and rubbed my temples. "I want to help. Just because I'm a younger version of you it doesn't mean I am weak." He said as he stomped his feet. Three words... Ignorant and childish. That's how I would describe past me. Before I could disagree with his decision, He looked at me with puppy dog eyes. How can a teenager do that?!?! I sighed and finally gave in to his request. "Fine... But make sure you know how to keep quiet" I said with an annoyed tone while crossing both of my arms on my chest. Past Kuro giggled and started to jump around in excitement. His smile... I missed that... I want to be this happy again... "There are three rules if you want to follow me on this mission." I said to Past Kuro. He tilted his head in confusion. "Okay? What are those three rules?" He asked me. I walked in front of him and expected him to follow me while I told him the rules. "Number 1, Never disagree with my decisions and always follow what I say." I said with a commanding tone while raising one finger. I continued. "Number 2, follow rule number 1." I said as I raised another finger. I stayed silent and walked for a while until Past Kuro spoke up. "What's the third rule?" He asked with a voice full of curiosity. I stopped walking and looked at him. I lowered my body to get on his level. "Final rule... if you don't want to follow the first rule then it is best you follow the second." I said with seriousness in my tone and my finger bopping on his nose. He looked confused and angry by the gesture and glared right through my eyes. Those are sharp eyes... It felt like it went through my eyes. I stood back up and continued walking while expecting Past Kuro to follow. Here we are... The most cursed place I remembered... The Everfree Forest. Past Kuro seemed new to his surroundings and I could hear his little "eeks" and "Woahs" as we walked further into the forest. I couldn't help but feel a chill on my spine... I'm not scared because of the surroundings... I'm scared because it's quiet. This forest has always been full of monsters but now It's completely silent... The last time I went here all of the monsters would come out and attack people from out of nowhere. "I heard a lot about this forest and not to be rude but... aren't there supposed to be monsters around here? Sorry for asking but I'm kind of curious." Past Kuro said with a fearful tone while his body was shaking. Even I was scared at this point.Usually, the monsters would come out of nowhere and scare people away with their ferocious fangs and sharp claws. I remembered when the only rule of this forest was "You either make it out alive or just be hunted by a thousand timberwolves". For most of you who don't know what Timberwolves are... to say the least... they're wooden tree-like wolves. Just watch My Little Pony to learn more about this character. Yes, I broke the fourth wall. Back to our current situation. The Timberwolves would've attacked us by now. It is possible that a Hydra had eaten them but I haven't heard any roars or growls of a Hydra in the distance... Strange. It's as if something bigger scared them away. Or rather... they fell prey to something... Or someone. "It's better if we don't speak of the things we don't wish to happen... Murphy's Law exists you know." I tried to convince Past Kuro to stay calm with those words but his unsettling state was still seeable. We both were scared. Past Kuro was scared because this territory was new to him while I was scared of the unusual environment. The wind got colder as we went more into the woods. Still no sight of any monsters. As we were silent the whole time, Past Kuro decided to break the silence and asked me a question. "So... about this magister guy... Who is he?" He asked me with his innocent tone. The one question that I wish he never asked. The question that I fear to tell others. If I answered his question then who knows how he would react... His Leeqa is still the innocent clone that I once remembered so it would be shocking to tell him that the magister is the future version of Leeqa. Oh god please send a distraction so I don't have to answer this question. Maybe lying is an option? I looked at him and smiled. "He's our main villain." I said with a fake smile on my face. Hopefully, that would be the last question I have to answer. Or so I thought. "So what's his real name? Like was he always our enemy... And why are we using these secret names like 'The Magister'." Past Kuro asked me the following questions. At this point, I'm praying that something will come and distract us from these questions. I didn't want to drop a bomb of truth out of nowhere... I need to make sure that I don't tell him too much about the future. My mind was racing. Each of my thoughts was fighting each other. Should I tell him the truth and probably break the timeline or should I keep quiet and listen to his constant questions? I was about to open my mouth and answer his question but I was disturbed by the sound of a breaking branch. I raised my guard and told Past Kuro to stand behind me while I pulled out my sword and prepared for the incoming threat. I stood still in fear as I sensed the incoming aura from the distance. He's here. The traitor. Athanatos.
