Alli POV

I get jolted awake by a super loud crash of thunder. I can here how hard it is pouring outside. I'm so fricken scared. I grab my phone and check the time. 4 AM!!! I groan and try to go back to sleep.

Not even 5 minutes later there is another super loud crash of thunder. I snuggle deeper into Hayes hoping I will fall back asleep.

Nope. Not happening. Stupid storm. I don't understand how Hayes is still sleeping through all of this!! I'm super scared but I don't want to wake Hayes up. So I just lay here cuddled up to him, scared out of my mind. I start thinking to try and get my mind off the storm. Probably not the best idea because all I can think about is Hayes leaving today. I wish he could stay longer. I have to go to a wedding today and I don't really know anyone in Steve's family. Its his nephews wedding. I don't want to sit there and be a loner. I wish Hayes could go with me. But he has to leave. I start getting more sad because I'm not gonna see him for awhile.

I feel something run down my face. I wipe it off and see that they were tears. I didn't realize I was crying. This is just great! I'm so bored, I wish that Hayes was up but I don't want to wake him. He looks so peaceful and cute. I run my hand through his hair. I close my eyes, to try and fall back asleep.

"Alli are you up?" I hear a sleepy Hayes ask. I open my eyes and look at him.

"Yeah. Did I wake you?" I ask.

"Kinda." He says.

"Sorry." I say.

"Its fine. Are you ok?" He asks. I shake my head no. "Whats wrong?" He asks worried.

"The storm." I say.

"I feel like that's not the whole reason. Is there anything else?" He asks.

"You're leaving today." I say.

"Wait. What time is it?" He asks.

"Like 4 am." I say.

"What? How are you awake? That doesn't matter. I know, I don't want to leave either." He says. I bury my head into his bare chest. "Hey, its gonna be fine." He says gently lifting my head out of his chest. I look him in the eyes.

"Why is it getting so much harder for us to leave each other?" I ask. He gently pushes my bangs out if my face.

"We are closer friends now. Thats the only thing I can come up with." He says.

"Yeah. Did you hear what my mom said when we were leaving St. Joe?" I ask.

"No. What did she say?" He asks.

"She said that it is getting harder because we are starting to develop feelings for each other. Can you believe her?" I say with a little laugh to make it more believable. I say that because I don't want him to know I kinda do now. He kinda stiffens just a little bit.

"She is turning into Nash." He says.

"Yeah." I say.

"So what do you want to do, since I don't see us going to sleep anytime soon." Hayes asks,

"I don't know." I say.

"How about we watch CSI NY?" He asks, smirking.

"OH MY GOSH YES! YOU KNOW ME SO WELL!" I quietly yell. If you can even do that?

"I know. Thats what best friends are for." He says, kissing my cheek. He gets up.

"Hey. I'm cold now." I say with a pouty face.

"Just give me 5 seconds." He says, turning on my TV and Xbox. I grab the remote off of my nightstand and turn that on. Then Hayes gets back in bed, but lays behind me, because I am laying on my side facing the TV, and wraps his arms around me. "Better?" He asks.
