Chapter 26

Alli POV

About 2 minutes later we arrive at my school. My mom give me money to get all of us in and drives off. I turn to walk in and Hayes puts his hand out. I laugh and take it and we walk in holding hands. We wait in line until our turn and I sign in Sky, Hayes, and Daniel, since they don't go to my school and hand one of the teachers my money. When I'm handing the teacher my money Hayes wraps him arm around my waist and pulls me close to him. The teacher gives me back my change and smiles.

"Have a great night." She says. I smile at her and we all walk to the gym. We walk in and Watch Me is playing. Hayes smirks, grabs my hand and drags me out to the dance floor. He lets go of my hand and starts dancing. I laugh at him and join him. Sky and Daniel run up and join in. Soon enough all of us are just laughing way to hard to dance.

The song ends and a slow song starts. Hayes looks at me and smiles. He comes over to me and puts his hand out.

"May I have this dance?" He asks. I smile and nod, grabbing his hand. He walks me out to the dance floor. He wraps his arms around my waist and I put mine around his neck. I look Hayes in the eyes and he looks nervous or scared.

"Hayes what's wrong?" I ask.

"Its nothing." He says.

"Its definitely something. Now tell me baby." I say, putting my hand on his cheek. He closes his eyes and leans onto my hand.

"Alli I can't." He says, opening his eyes and taking his head off f my hand.

"Why can't you?" I say, getting angry.

"Because I can't!" He says, also getting angry. I let go of him and grab his hand and pull him outside. "How come you keeping secrets from me? Did I do something wrong?!" I say.

"No! You didn't do anything!" He says.

"Then why are you keeping secrets from me!? I'm supposed to be your best friend! You should be able to tell me everything!" I say, slightly yelling.

"You are my best friend!" He yells.

"Then why won't you tell me what wrong?!" I yell.

"Because I don't want anything to change!" He yells.

"Why would things change!?" I yell. Then a teacher comes out.

"Because I like you Alli! More than a friend!" He yells. He realizes what he said and slaps his hand over his mouth and widens his eyes. The teacher turns around and goes back inside. My jaw drops.

"What?" I say, astonished.

"I like you Alli!" He yells then starts to run his hands through his hair and over his face in an aggravated way. I am so stunned, I don't know what to do. Then the door flies open and Daniel and Sky run out. They run over to me first.

"Alli, what's going on?" Sky asks.

"I-" I stutter.

"Well spit it out!" Daniel says. I run over to Hayes and kiss him. He puts his hands on the sides of my face and I put mine on his. This is the best moment of my life. He kisses back with so much more passion than any other time he had kissed me. He moves his hands down to my waist and pulls me closer. I move my hands to his hair and tug a little. He smiles. I smile. We lean our foreheads onto each others.

"Hayes." I say.

"Yeah?" He says.

"Why me?" I ask.

"Because you're perfect." He says.

"You really think that?" I say.

"Yes I do and you need to get it through your head." He says. I laugh. "Im serious." He says.
