Chapter 25

Alli's POV

We leave the rink and drive back home. On the way back, Skylar texts me. She has been coming down a lot more since the day she met Daniel. Also Daniel and Sky have been getting a lot closer since last time.

"Me and Daniel are coming over." I respond.

"Ok."

I smile and think about when I kissed Hayes. It felt so different, I wish it could've lasted forever. Hayes puts his hand on my thigh and rubs it. I look at him. He smiles.

"I saw a paper for a dance at your school. Are you going?" He asks.

"I was but then you came and I don't want to leave you at home alone." I said.

"Well why don't me, you, Daniel, and Skylar all go?" He asks.

"I guess we could do that."I say smiling. We pull up to our house and they drop us off. They wanted to go spend time alone after getting engaged and Skylynn was getting tired. Me and Hayes walk inside and see Sky and Daniel on the couch, cuddling. I smile

"Hey guys. Y'all look comfy." I say smirking. Sky blushes. I laugh. Then Hayes comes up behind me and pulls me by my waist toward him and leans down and kisses my neck. I start blushing and Skylar laughs at me.

"I let Sky get revenge." He says. I make a pouty face and walk away.

"Rude." I say and plop on the couch.

"I'm sorry baby girl." He says and I melt. I start blushing so I hide my face. I hear him laugh and beside me and the couch sinks in. I come out from hiding and look at Hayes. He smiles and I see his eyes flicker to my lips, then back to my eyes. I smile and lean in like in going to kiss him but instead lay my head on his shoulder.

"Y'all need to stop flirting or we are going to die." Sky says. I look at her and laugh.

"He started it." I say. He looks at me.

"You started it!" He says. I get up walk over to the chair. He makes a pouty face and comes over to me.

"How did I start it?" I say, sassily.

"You made fun of Sky." He said, grabbing my hands and pulling me up into his arms.

"No I didnt." I say, once again with my sassiness.

"Whatever. Ill stop fighting on one condition." He says, smirking.

"Benjamin Hayes Grier! No more kisses. Remember what I said?" I say. HIs smile drops.

"I know but why do you feel that way?" He asks. I pull him into the den. "Alli you know I would never ask you to do anything like that." he finishes looking down.

"Hayes I know but I just feel like that's what we are because we are not together and we pretty much act like we are but say were not." I say, kind of confusing myself.

"What if we were together?" He asks smiling and still looking at the ground.

"I dont know." I say, with my stomach exploding with butterflies.

"Would you be ok with it then?" He says, looking up at me. My stomach is literally going to explode.

"Yeah" I say, looking down and smiling. He brings my faces up to his and scoots closer to me.

"What would you say if I asked you to be my girlfriend?" He says.

"I dont know." I say.

"Would you say yes?" He says.

"Maybe." I say. We both smile. Does Hayes like me back? No, he would never like me back, just like everyone else.

"Well I promise Ill stop kissing you if.." He says, dragging out the if.
