Chapter 10

Alli's POV

(A/N in this chapter Im skipping the rest of the trip because all it is is them riding everyday and nothing else really because it isnt summer and they cant swim in the lake.)

I wake up and remember its the last day. I have to leave Hayes, Sky, Will, Nash, Johnnie, Elizabeth. I dont want to. But I have to. I look and see Hayes is sitting up on the air mattress. I hear sniffling. I sit up and see his face is red and tears are running down his face. I pull him into a hug and lay back down. This time he is in my arms. Haha. I run my hand through his hair.

"Hayes calm down, you have never got this worked up over me or you having to leave. If you dont stop crying Im gonna cry." I say. I wipe his face.

"I didnt even sleep last night." He says with a scratchy voice from crying.

"Why didnt you wake me up? I would have talked to you." I say.

"You looked so peaceful. I wasnt gonna wake you up just because I couldnt sleep." He says.

"Ok then, today we have to pack up but come on you'll be fine. Remember what I said back in North Carolina?" I said.

"I do, I know, but is still just hard when you live in Illinois and I live in North Carolina. I wish we lived in the same state." He said.

"Your starting to sound like me." I say, he laughs. "Come on we can make the most of today, ok? Lets get dressed." I say getting up and pulling out my clothes.

"OK." He says. I take my shirt off and throw on my riding shirt over my tank top. Then pull on my riding pants. I get out of the tent and Hayes changes. I walk over to Elizabeth, who is sitting in a chair. I sit in the one next to her.

"Mornin Honey, How are you?" She asks.

"Morning, good for the most part." I say, sighing.

"I know its hard but yall have done it before. Maybe its getting harder because yall are developing feelings for eachother." She says.

"I have a boyfriend..." I say.

"Since when? How long has it been going on? Is it Hayes?" She asks.

"Its Ian, Mom. Quit bugging her." Hayes says walking out of the tent.

"Hayes its fine." I said.

"Im sorry, Its just everyone is bugging you about it but they should just be happy your happy." He says. I dont even know if Im happy.

"Thanks Hayes but I should have told everyone once it happened or this wouldnt be happening." I say to him. He nods his head and walks away.

"So your dating Ian?" Elizabeth asks.

"Yeah but I doubt it gonna last." I say.

"Why do you say that?" She asks.

"He hasnt texted me since he asked me out, everyone hates him." I say.

"Well it happens, maybe it isnt ment to be." SHe says.

"Maybe." I say.

"What else is on your mind honey?" She asks.

"Hayes." I say blankly.

"Why?" She said.

"He has been acting weird." I say.

"Maybe you just need to have a long talk with him." She said.

"Maybe." I say. I get up and go over to my mom.

"Morning sweetie. Sleep good?" She asks, putting 2 pancakes on my plate.

"Yeah. But Hayes didnt and is sad." I say.
