Rajput Mansion,
Morning,
In the bustling kitchen of Rajput Mansion, Arya, Vridhi, and Aarushi were working diligently. The aroma of freshly baked parathas mingled with the scent of ripe fruits, signaling the arrival of the elders and Aahana.
Aarushi: Hame jaldi karna padega. Sab abhi kuch der mein aa jaenge, aur maasa ne kaha tha ki Aahana ji ke liye taaze phal aur unka pasandida paratha bana kar rakhna. Aur abhi tak kuch bhi nahi hua yaha.
(We need to hurry. Everyone will arrive soon, and Maasa said we should prepare fresh fruits and Aahana jiji's favorite parathas. And nothing is ready yet.)
Her voice was tinged with urgency as she rolled out parathas with swift, practiced hands. Her brow was furrowed in concentration, a small bead of sweat glistening on her forehead.
Arya paused her work to approach Aarushi, a reassuring smile on her face. She placed a gentle hand on Aarushi's shoulder, her touch light but firm, as if to physically transfer her calmness to Aarushi.
Arya:- Bhabhisa, aap zara saans toh lijiye. Aaram se sab ho jayega ghabrane wali koi baat nahi hai.
(Bhabhisa, take a breath. Everything will be done, there's nothing to worry about.)
Vridhi:- Ha Bhabhisa, abhi fatafat sab ho jayega.
(Yes, Bhabhisa, everything will be done quickly.)
Vridhi, kneading dough with practiced ease, gave a supportive nod. Her voice was steady, her confidence apparent in her quick, rhythmic motions.
Arya:-Bhabhisa aap kitni achi hai aur kitna kaam karti hai,aap thak nahi jaati itna kaam karkar.
(Bhabhisa, you are so good and work so much, don't you get tired?)
Aarushi(smiling):- Nahi.
(No.)
Arya:- Pata hai mai aapki jagah hoti toh mai ab tak pagal ho chuki hoti.
(If I were in your place, I would have gone mad by now.)
Vridhi:- Arya sahi keh rahi hai Bhabhisa,Mai bhi.
(Arya is right, Bhabhisa, so would I.)
Aarushi:- Aisa kuch nahi hai,ek baar agar zimmedari aa jati hai na apne upar phir sab ho jata hai humse.
(It's not like that; once responsibility comes upon us, we manage everything.)
Aarushi managed a small smile despite her anxiety. Her words were spoken with a mix of resolve and resignation, her gaze softening as she looked at her younger sisters-in-law.
Arya:- Waise bhabhisa aapko ye sab kisne sikhaya, aapki mummy ne.
(By the way, Bhabhisa, who taught you all this, your mother?)
Arya asked, curiosity tinged with respect. She leaned against the kitchen counter, her expression thoughtful as she waited for Aarushi's response.
Aarushi(smiling sadly):- Maa hoti toh sikhati na.
(If Maa was here, she would have taught me.
Aarushi's voice was heavy with sadness, her eyes drifting towards the floor as she recalled a missed presence in her life. Her smile faltered, a faint trace of longing evident in her tone.
Arya:- Sorry.
Arya's voice was soft, her head slightly bowed in empathy. The word was almost a whisper, a small but sincere acknowledgment of Aarushi's unspoken pain.
Aarushi:- Abhi ye sab baat chodo warna agar ye wali maasa idhar aa gayi na toh wo phir hame batayengi.
(Forget about it now, or if Maasa comes here, she'll scold us.)
