दिल क्या करे जब किसी से
किसी को प्यार हो जाए
जाने कहाँ कब किसी को
किसी से प्यार हो जाए.

Dil kya kare jab kisi ko
Kisi se pyar ho jaye
Jane kaha kab kisi ko
Kisi se pyar ho jaye.

Rajput Mansion,

Night,

In Aahir room,

The soft glow of a lamp bathed the room in a gentle, golden hue. Aarushi sat on the chair, absorbed in her book, the rustle of pages the only sound breaking the quiet. The cool night breeze fluttered the curtains, carrying with it the scent of jasmine from the garden below. Mahir stepped out of the washroom, freshly showered, droplets of water still clinging to his hair. He caught sight of Aarushi and smiled softly, a tenderness in his gaze that he rarely showed.

Aarushi glanced up from her book and noticed him. Her heart fluttered momentarily, but she quickly composed herself. Without a word, she rose from the chair, walking over to the sofa, preparing to lie down for the night. But before she could settle, Mahir's deep voice broke the silence.

Mahir:- Thaare ko batthe sone ki zarurat na hai tu atthe soja palang par.

(You don't need to sleep on the sofa; you should go and sleep on the bed.)

His Rajasthani accent laced his words with a familiar warmth. Aarushi hesitated, her fingers clutching the edge of her dupatta.

Aarushi:- Mahir ji mujhe bahut neend aa rahi hai light band kar dijiye aur so jaiye.

(Mahir ji, I'm feeling very sleepy. Please turn off the light and go to sleep.)

She turned, but in one fluid motion, Mahir crossed the room, his feet soft against the marble floor. Before she could react, he gently scooped her up in his arms, his embrace firm yet careful. Aarushi's breath hitched as her book slipped from her fingers and fell to the floor.

Aarushi:- Mahir ji aap ye kya kar rahe hai chodiye mujhe.

(Mahir ji, what are you doing? Let me go.)

She struggled lightly, her hands pushing against his chest, but he simply smiled, ignoring her protests. His arms cradled her securely as he carried her to the bed. The soft scent of his cologne filled her senses, making her protest waver for a moment.

He carefully laid her down on the bed, his hand lingering on her shoulder before pulling away.

Aarushi:- Mahir ji ye sab karne ki zarurat nahi hai, mujhe waha par bahut achi neend aati hai.

(Mahir ji, there's no need for all this. I sleep very well there.)

Mahir's gaze softened, but there was a firmness in his voice.

Mahir:-Aati hogi par tu ab se atthe hi so atthe sofe se bhi zyada achi neend aati hai, Aarushi pehle ki baat aur thi par ab na hai.

(You might sleep well there, but from now on, you should sleep here. Sleeping on the bed is even better. It was different before, but not anymore.)

His words, though simple, carried layers of meaning. She opened her mouth to argue, but the look in his eyes made her pause.

Aarushi:- Aapke liye alag hogi par mere liye nahi.

(It might be different for you, but not for me.)

Mahir sighed, sitting down on the edge of the bed, close enough that she could feel the warmth of his presence.
