Just as the sun reached its peak,

We waited—patiently but with a sense of eagerness—to hear back from the Hizuru clan. In the meantime, Eren had volunteered us to build a "railroad" to aid our travels. Not everyone was thrilled about it.

But I found a way to avoid that by just ditching it, but Hange would find me anyway without even trying, Captain Levi would give me a punishment of running around town till dark.

Not saying it in a bad way of course. It improved my stamina.

But this time I saw them as family to me. Even though one of them is my captain and commander. While the scouts worked on the railroad, I needed to check on Historia. Lately, she seemed down, feeling guilty that we were doing all this for her sake.

Which we are.

Hush!

Since Historia had her daily royal duties, I exited the headquarters when Hange rode up to me on her horse, holding a letter.

"Y/nnn!" She yelled out calling my name. Quickly stopping her horse.

"Commander?" I responded. "The letter from Hizuru is here!" Hange announced.

Hearing the word 'Hizuru' made me smile. "Oh, what did they say?!" I asked eagerly.

ButHange put a finger to her lips in a shushing gesture. "Not here. I hafta find Levi first! Come with me," she said, motioning for me to climb onto the horse behind her.

I hopped on without hesitation, and we rode through town until we found Captain Levi.

We stopped at an abandoned building, left untouched by Titans. With all the Titans gone, we could explore the outer walls. The building was filthy but enormous, possibly useful in the future.
