Ana gazed over at the building in front of her, a scowl on her face. She sat on the rooftop across from it, the gravely texture digging into her skin.

She pressed the com in her ear, making sure it was on before speaking.

" I'm in position. There's three guards, think you can handle them?"

" Yeah, I got this. I'll get us inside in no time," Pietro replied.

" Be careful, these bastards are like cockroaches- they never seem to die."

The girl checked her equipment, making sure everything was ready. Her guns were thankfully loaded, clipped to her sides for easy access. Her pockets were filled with Stark tech, a mix of jammers and hacking equipment.

She knew it was overkill, she could do it with her bare hands, but Clint was right. She needed to stop solely relying on her powers. It was making her weak.

" Alright love, I'm in," Pietro spoke, clearing her mind.

" Got that, I'm right behind you,"

Ellie's POV-

Her breathing was ragged, making her chest hurt. Her stomach had tensed, nausea overwhelming the girl. She didn't think she could take it anymore.

The guard swung again, Elliana not having enough time to dodge. Another hit landed in her stomach, making her cry out.

" Oh come on, you can't be done already. You're a trained soldier for crying out loud!" Elisa shouted, slamming her fist into the wall.

The cement cracked, making the younger girl flinch. Her sister had been getting more and more unstable as time went on. Clearly things weren't going how she expected.

" I'm not going to be your fucking pawn. Wipe my memories, put triggers in my brain, it won't matter," El spat, putting her hand over her stomach.

" We'll see about that. Jerry, please escort her to the prep room," Elisa commanded, walking out of the room.

The guard stalked toward her once again, ignoring the girl's protests.

There was no way out. Her wrist was cuffed with a power dampener. She was useless.

Ana's POV-

The assassin snuck through the hallways, making her footsteps as quiet as possible.

It had been empty so far, making her uneasy. There was always at least one scientist roaming the halls at all times. Where was everyone?

She heard the voice of someone, quickly making her way towards them. It wasn't very hard, they were loud.

" Don't let her escape. We've had too many incidents, we need this to go well," Elisa commanded, her tone stressed.

" Yes ma'am. We'll make sure she's wiped by the end of the hour," a scientist spoke.

" Good."

The scientist walked off, leaving the leader herself alone. Ana couldn't help the burst of anger that settled in her chest.

They couldn't have been talking about anyone other than El- they didn't have any more subjects.

She quickly struck, slamming the woman into the wall, the knife she had hidden in her boot at her throat.

" Where is she?" Ana hissed, glaring at the woman.

" Oh, this is priceless. You are so predictable, Ana. I'll admit, I didn't think you would catch me off guard. That's one mistake I won't make again," Elisa spoke, trying to divert the conversation.
