[ A COUPLE OF DEMICYCLES LATER ]

"Come on, you can do it! Just slide the metal cube around these blocks and reach the red boxed-shaped borders."

"[UNCERTAINY] Sire, are you sure this is a good idea?"

"Yes, kiddo," (Y/S/N) assured with a soft and nervous chuckle.

(Y/Cyb/N) was doing a handstand, struggling to keep balance and balance tools on his pedes while utilizing the Quadirectional Keeper Algorithm to move a metal cube without activating his servos.

He had already mastered most of the Algorithms he had, but if he were in sticky situations with his hands and feet disabled, he needed to activate without using his limbs.

A metal cube was in front of him, on the metallic ground. He had to maneuver it around makeshift obstacles his sire set up for him. Many pathways branched, with several of them leading to dead ends or to the goal.

(Y/Cyb/N)'s optics flickered with uncertainty as he maintained the precarious handstand, his pedes wobbling as he tried to keep his balance. Meanwhile, the metal cube hovered slightly before him, moving sluggishly as he struggled to activate the Quadirectional Keeper Algorithm without using his limbs.

"[𝐂𝐎𝐍𝐂𝐄𝐑𝐍𝐄𝐃]," he spoke aloud again, his voice tinged with uncertainty. "Sire... [𝐅𝐑𝐔𝐒𝐓𝐑𝐀𝐓𝐄𝐃 𝐆𝐑𝐔𝐍𝐓]. Wouldn't Carrier be mad at you—figuratively—for doing this kind of training on me?"

His sire let out a soft chuckle, though there was a hint of nervousness in his tone. He glanced toward the door as if expecting (Y/Cyb/N)'s carrier to burst in at any moment.

"Well, she might not exactly approve of this particular training method... but it's necessary kiddo. You've got to be prepared for any situation. What if your hands are restrained? Or are your systems offline? You'll need to rely on your Algorithms to get you out of a bind."

(Y/Cyb/N) wobbled again, barely keeping his pedes steady as the metal cube teetered dangerously close to a dead-end obstacle. "[𝐍𝐄𝐑𝐕𝐎𝐔𝐒𝐋𝐘 𝐒𝐖𝐀𝐘𝐈𝐍𝐆]," he muttered, adjusting his weight while focusing on the cube. "This feels... [𝐑𝐈𝐃𝐈𝐂𝐔𝐋𝐎𝐔𝐒]. I don't know how this will help—[𝐅𝐑𝐔𝐒𝐓𝐑𝐀𝐓𝐄𝐃 𝐆𝐑𝐎𝐀𝐍]—if I can't keep my balance..."

"You'll get it," (Y/S/N) encouraged, keeping a watchful optic on his youngling's movements. "Remember, it's all about mental control, not physical strength. Focus on the cube. Visualize it moving through the path, not just hovering. You are in control, even if your body feels like it's not."

(Y/Cyb/N) grumbled under his breath, but his optics narrowed with concentration. "[𝐃𝐄𝐓𝐄𝐑𝐌𝐈𝐍𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍]." He focused entirely on the cube, trying to tune out the wobbling of his servos and the instability of his handstand. Slowly, the metal cube glided through the maze, twisting and turning around the obstacles.
