Silence.
Absolute, unnerving silence.
B-127, D-16, and Elita-1 looked at Alpha Trion, their mouths agape, completely caught off guard by his statement. Orion Pax, on the other hand, felt the tension in the air thicken; he didn't know what to say — or could say.
No one had heard those words before; it was unthinkable to question the leadership and credibility of such a significant figure. The weight of Alpha Trion's declaration pressed down on everyone.
The cavern was shrouded in a profound silence, the air thick with the weight of the revelation. The sight of the elderly Prime, their revered leader, now in denial, starkly contrasted the image they had held in their minds. The sudden disclosure that Sentinel Prime was not a Prime sent them shockwaves of disbelief and confusion. The hero and leader of Cybertron, their beacon of hope, was not a Prime? The truth was both staggering and jaw-dropping, leaving them in a state of profound disbelief.
"WHAT!?" B-127's thunderous outburst shattered the cavern, his reaction a raw display of the shock that gripped them all. His response was more immediate and intense than the others, a testament to the gravity of the news he was still grappling with, his voice echoing with the weight of the revelation.
"[CONFUSED] [FLABBERGASTED] [SHOCK] [DISBELIEF]" (Y/Cyb/n) chirped out his emotions reflexively, his defective optic flickering with a purple-colored question mark and yellow-colored exclamation point shaped pupil, a visual representation of the uncertainty that now clouded his mind, his confusion and defect palpable in the air.
"He's broken. Fantastic," Elita-1 muttered sarcastically, assuming Alpha Trion had mistaken their beliefs and facts.
"What are you talking about?" Orion inquired, voicing everyone's concern. "Why would you say that?"
"Sentinel Prime is our protector," D-16 stepped forward to defend his best friend's statement. "He's been saving us from the Quintessons of them—"
"You had not been saved!" The purple and silver mech interrupted the dark gray and silver mech sharply as he stood up. "You've been living a lie. I saw the truth with my own eyes."
"[NERVOUS INQUIRY] Y-You did?" (Y/Cyb/n) "stuttered" by making his monotonous, robotic voice sound glitched out.
Alpha Trion raised an optic ridge at the trans-mech, noting his different speech and vocalization. "You..." He uttered, raising a shaky and creaky digit at the group.
"Me?" Orion Pax jabbed a digit to his chassis.
"No! The (a/c) one!" He barked softly, pointing at (Y/Cyb/n), hiding behind and between Orion Pax and D-16. "Your friend... Why does your friend sound like... that?" He spoke carefully, not wanting to offend by verbalizing the word "defect."
He was confused as to why (Y/Cyb/n) reflexively spoke about his actions and emotions. He also has a defective left optic with a pupil that can change shape and color based on his emotions.
Orion and D-16 shifted on their pedes slightly, standing in front of (Y/Cyb/n), protective of him. They glanced at each other, silently communicating their thoughts and feelings regarding Alpha Trion's inquiry.
B-127 cleared his vocalizer, stepping closer to Alpha Trion. "Well... he's a, um..." He struggled to find the right words to explain (Y/Cyb/n)'s unique condition. "Long story short, he is a defeee—uhh..." The yellow mech trailed off, catching himself about to say "defect" and receiving sharp looks from Elita-1, Orion Pax, and D-16.
