I'm on a bench in Coney Island
Wondering, where did my baby go?
The fast times, the bright lights, the merry-go
Sorry for not making you my centerfold

Rowan knew that gaining the trust of Elena and the Salvatores would be a difficult feat and having them know who she truly was had definitely put a dampener on things. They didn't fully trust her intentions for Elena, nor did they understand her motivations, and the relationship with Klaus had only complicated things further. Her vendetta against Klaus wasn't a simple affair, it had been years in development, and she had spent years planning how best to extract her revenge.
What the pair had felt for each other could never be explained. It wasn't just love between Klaus and Rowan. It was something deeper, something that drew them together across time and space. As much as Rowan would deny it, she knew fate had a hand in her dealings with Klaus. Fate was stirring the pot now, waiting for the right time to bring them back together. The wisp had shown her what she already knew: she and Klaus were destined to reunite. What the result of this reunion would be, however, was anyone's guess.
Not only was Klaus' betrayal of Rowan abominable, but the means to break his Curse involved the sacrifice of her blood and the death of Elena. Her feelings for the Petrova doppelgängers had always been complicated. As was natural in their existence, they always became entangled in the affairs of the Mikaelsons, and thus her, but it was more than that. They were friends in each of their variations, until they had ultimately turned on her, too. Tatia and Katherine weren't a glowing example of the virtues of the Petrova line, but Elena was an entirely different person. She was good. How could Rowan allow the girl to be sacrificed on a fiery altar?
So when Elena called asking for her help, she was more than willing to offer it. Despite wanting to keep her distance from anything Klaus related, there was no reason to stop Elena learning what she could about him. If Elena was going to endanger herself searching for answers anyways, it was better that Rowan be there to pull her out of trouble.
"It's a bad idea." Rose told Elena, shaking her head in argument.
"No, it's not. From what Stefan told me, your friend Slater obviously has more information about Klaus. You and Damon just gave up before you got it." She insisted from the couch in the Salvatore Boarding House.
