"I can't believe you guys were involved in TWO akuma attacks during your stay! Talk about terrible luck!"

Alya elbowed her boyfriend in the ribs.

"Yeah, well, we're kind of used to it." Percy yawned. He still hadn't made up for the sleep he had lost before coming to Paris.

"I think it's more fate than luck," Thalia said, rubbing at her temples.

Percy let out a dry laugh. "I swear they do it just to get under our skin," He muttered.

"Tadaaah!" Tom Dupain leaned through the door carrying plates stacked high with different pastries. He set them down on the coffee table. "You kids enjoy. If you need anything else we're just outside."

They thanked him and he returned to the kitchen with a skip in his step.

Marinette's parents had invited the group over for snacks after hearing about their "New friends from America". Tom insisted that Percy and Thalia get a taste of the Parisian cuisine, courtesy of the Dupain-Cheng Boulangerie. After the day they just had, they couldn't bring themselves to turn down the offer. Adrien excitedly took a macaroon from the plate.

Percy picked up one of the croissants from the table. He hadn't realized how hungry he was until food was laid out in front of him.

"Woah...this is really good!" He said, in between bites.

"My dad would be glad to hear that," Marinette said with a smile.

"The Dupain-Cheng's make the best food," Adrien said, his mouth full. "And I'm not just saying that because I'm Marinette's boyfriend either."

"True that," Nino said, helping himself to another cookie.

"I think they'd still love you even if you didn't like their food," Marinette said, lowering Adrien's arm before he choked from the speed he was eating.

Alya was scribbling something down on a notebook, silent for most of the conversation.

"Do you guys mind if I ask you a few questions?" She said suddenly.

"Not really...it depends on the questions I guess," Thalia responded, shrugging her shoulders.

"Nothing too personal, just about the akuma attack. I would usually be able to supply the information myself, but I was busy being frozen as a statue."

Nino groaned. "Babe, what did we say about work at the table?"

Percy chuckled, crossing his arms over his chest. For a moment, Marinette had to agree with Tikki. He did look like a god. "Sure, go ahead."

Marinette knew Alya had entered reporter mode when she pushed up her glasses like an anime character. They answered her rapid fire questions best they could, leaving out the parts where Percy tried to chop the akuma's head off. They skirted around the lightning strike, claiming to have seen it but didn't see who was behind it.

"What's your take on the theory that the lightning strike was caused by another hero? Or maybe even a villain?"

"I wouldn't rule out the possibility." Thalia responded with a smirk, side-eyeing Percy as he tried to keep a straight face.

"Noted. Alright, last one." She leaned back in her seat, shutting her notepad and tucking it in her pocket.

"Who, among the two of you, is older?"

The strange query took them by surprise.

"Sorry, what?"

"Completely off the record. I was just curious. We actually don't know how old you two are."
