Thalia was jolted awake when she felt water run down her back. She gasped from the cold and ended up coughing uncontrollably from the liquid that somehow got in her lungs. Once she regained her senses, she glared up at the source of the attack. Percy stood over her with a water bottle in hand and a not-so-guilty expression.
"Sorry," He said, lowering the waterbottle. "But we're the last ones on the plane and they're asking us to evacuate."
She groaned and accepted Percy's outstretched hand, making sure to shock him with electricity once he pulled her up.
He yelped and fell backwards, landing on his side.
"Oops," She said, unapologetically. He scowled at her as she tried not to giggle. She held out her hand for him and he reluctantly took it, only for her to shock him again. This time, she didn't hold back her laughter.
"I hate you..." Percy grumbled, pushing himself up.
"Hey, at least we're even now," She said, grinning at him.
"Yeah, yeah...let's get out of this stupid place."
After grabbing their bags, the duo made their way to the emergency exit. Thalia shielded her eyes from the glare of the sun as they walked down the stairs. She surveyed her surroundings. People crowded the base of the Eiffel Tower where the airplane had landed. Police cars and a few ambulances were parked by the tail of the plane. A couple of officers stood by the exit and helped passengers down the steps while others handled crowd control. She spotted Adrien amidst a crowd of reporters, accompanied by a strange looking girl. She was about the same height as Adrien. She donned a costume that had the pattern of a ladybug and a matching mask that covered part of her face. Her whole ensemble kind of looked like a super suit. Her gestures were animated as she talked to the news reporter interviewing her. Thalia exchanged a look with Percy who looked just as bewildered as she was. Thalia craned her neck to look back at the tail of the plane and noticed something she hadn't seen before. A giant polka-dotted parachute."Huh." She muttered, staring at brightly colored object. The girl she saw earlier approached the airplane and in one big yank, pulled the parachute off. The blunette noticed them staring and waved at them with a smile. Not knowing what to do, the demigods waved back awkwardly.
They continued their descent down the stairs. Thalia was still extremely drained from using her powers. Once they made it to the ground, spots clouded Thalia's vision and her legs crumpled. Percy caught her arm before she crashed to the ground.
"Careful Lia. Wouldn't want a repeat of the tree situation," Percy said as she regained her balance.
"Big talk coming from a guinea pig," She said in retaliation.
Before he could respond, a bright pink wave wooshed past their faces, catching both of them off guard. They watched in wonder as the sparkly pink wave spun around the entire plane. The wave disappeared and to their surprise, so did the plane.
"Di immortales!"
They seemed to be the only ones who were surprised, because the people around them cheered, then went back to what they were doing like it was nothing.
The officers who were on stand by next to the plane chuckled at their reactions. The half-bloods were too stunned to react.
"You two are not from around her aren't you?" One of the officers said. He spoke in English, but had a thick French accent.
"I thought the crazy stuff only happened in New York," Percy said, rubbing his eyes. "What in Olympus was that?
"The Miraculous Ladybug cure. Surprised you haven't heard about it. It's usually all over the news," a female officer said.
