Atlanta GA 2 weeks later Zamari's house
Zamari sat in his living room rolling up for the 7th blunt today. Taking a hit from it he slouched back in the couch and just looked at nothing. Hearing his phone ring he looked down and seen his mom calling. Decided to answer it he watched the call connect "Zamari Azir Jones have you lost your fucking mind!?" She said yelling. "I'm finna be on my way ma I just told you that" he said sighing not wanting to hear the yelling.
"It doesn't fucking matter what you told me Kior has been here for 2 weeks and you have called once do you not understand how that's effecting him !?" Not having anything else to say Zamari hung up and got up to go pick Kior up from his mom's. Since he just smoked back to back he was driving terrible slow since he didn't want to swerve or hit anyone or anything.
Pulling up he got out and headed to the front door. After knocking he heard small footsteps. "DADDY!" Kior said and Zamari picked him up chuckling. "Wassup bug" putting him down he looked over at his mom who was giving him a harsh glare "where Nana?" He asked since normally both of them where together to pick him up from anywhere. "Idk Ki I think she at her house" he said "oh are we going to her house?" He asked curiously
"Naw bug we going home" Kior looked up to his granny "go grab you bag fat and don't run up them stairs" she said pointing and he did the complete opposite and ran up the stairs to grab his bag making her shake her head. "What happened?" She asked once she seen Kior was upstairs. "What you mean?" Zamari said even tho he clearly knew what she was asking about but honestly Zamari wasn't ready to talk about anything.
He hadn't even talked to Nahalia since the day he left her house, he hadn't really talked at all honestly all he had done was smoked, that's all he wanted to do was to smoke to forget about everything. Zamari was knocked out of his thoughts once he felt tears falling down his face his mom face softened. "Oh baby what happened" she said hugging up "w-we lost our baby mom" he said crying in the crook of her neck.
"Oh son im so sorry" she said comforting him "its my fault i was stressing her out so much with all the shit I had going" he said over his cries"it's not your fault Azir dont ever say that" pulling his face out of her neck she made him look at her, "things happen for a reason Azir and you just have to trust that and let God handle it and let him bring the blessing you cannot force those, it wasn't the right time you know this yourself"
"I haven't talk to her since the day I found out" he said quietly. "Why?" She asked not wanting to get upset at her idiot son "I just couldn't look at her and know that I was possibly be the reason we lost our first child" he said shaking his head feeling terrible "she just lost her first child Azir she needs you more than anyone how could you leave her alone?" She asked genuinely confused.
"I don't know honestly my head just hasn't been in the right place i got so much shit going on i just needed to breathe" he said blowing out a breath. "You need to go check on her Azir she needs you" they both turned there head at the sound of small footsteps. "I got my bag gg" he said out of breath "i told you not to be running up and down them stairs little boy" she said "sorryyyyy" he said Zamari chuckled at his hard headed son
"Come on boy" Zamari said getting ready to leave "bye gg" Kior said "bye baby I love you" she said kissing his face "bye ma" Zamari said kissing her cheek " bye baby do what asked you to do please Azir" she said sternly and he nodded "yes ma'am" he said walking out.
Once Zamari and Kior got in the car they made there way to Nahalias condo. Pulling in Zamari looked by at a sleeping Kior. Getting out he picked him up and headed to Nahalias door. After knocking he covered the peephole with his finger and waited for her to open it. Hearing the lock turn she slowly opened the door trying to peck and see who it was since Zamari was covering peephole.
"You stink" she said her face scrunched up at the smell of weed. He looked over her face and he could tell she hadn't got any sleep and had been doing a lot of crying. After just standing there for a couple seconds she opened the door for him and walked away.before walking to her Zamari put Kior on the couch and threw a blanket on top of him.
"I'm sorry Nahalia" Zamari said and she just looked at him with no expression not saying anything. She walked away to her bathroom and came back putting something in Zamari's hand. He looked down with a confused expression seeing her promise ring in his hand. He looked back up at her. "Ivy please don't do this" he said trying to put the ring back on her finger. "Zamari you left me when i needed you the most, i lost a child, my kid, our child and left me"she said still with no expression or emotion in her voices
"I know and I'm sorry I just didn't know how to process what happened I didn't know how to comfort you so I ran but I'm sorry please" tears brimming in his eyes "I've been there for you whenever you needed me Zamari I've never once made you feel like your going threw something by yourself I've been by your side whenever you needed me and when I needed you most you walked out on me" Zamari just looked not knowing what to say and Nahalia cleared her throat not having anymore tears left to cry.
"This a been a very very long two weeks my body has been going things that I wouldve never even imagined but I took a lot of time thinking and i love you more than literally anything but i just can't see my future with someone who would walk out of my life and not even look back at a time like this" she said tears falling down her face, reaching up to wipe them she finally looked at Zamari and seen the tears down his face.
"I love you more Ivy I'm so sorry" he said wiping her face she turned her head and stopped crying she had cried so much these past two weeks she felt like if she cried one more time she wasn't gone have no water left in her body. "you can leave now" she said and Zamari just looked at her then turnt around he felt like he deserved this after making her go threw something so terrible by herself. Wiping the tears off his face he picked Kior back up from the couch before he started to wake up.
Zamari got in the car and couldn't help but let his tears fall freely down his face. "Fuck"
