After they had their coffees to go, the two then walked over to the skate park and decided to practice a few tricks on their skateboards.Without knowing that either of them would also be pulling a couple of hidden moves of their own.
"Alright, Bradley. Now that we've both warmed up a bit. I think it's about time that I test out a Casper slide trick in one straight line with my skateboard. Guaranteed to blow your mind away." Max spoke out confidently after the two had been practicing beginning tricks of consistent board swings and ramp slides to help build a much faster pace for higher advanced moves.
"Pfft. Yeah right. That trick even in my years of skateboarding is much harder to balance then it looks. If you don't nose dive it correctly, your board can swerve off and make you fall." Bradley pointed out with a chuckle.
"Eh, it'll be piece of cake. Just watch me breeze through this trick and I'll prove to you that I can make it through the whole thing. In fact, I'm going to be using that ramp over there to show you how it's done." Max said confidently as he points over to a ramp like structure in front of them, that is used to hold a set of stairs.
"Okay. Let see what you got then." Bradley spoke with a small laugh before walking over to the other side of the ramp so that he can watch from end part of the way.
Not realizing that it was nice save for a later close call.
As Max stood on the edge of the ramp with the board half in resting before he then flipped it over with an Ollie kick, leaving his feet under the upside-down skateboard and started to slide through the ramp down the line.
Which gave a much big impression for Bradley, whose smile awed in amazement.
There was just something about this particular moment that made him feel warm inside.
As Max slowly looked up from his own skate board to check his surroundings up ahead when he suddenly caught Bradley's smile.
Which immediately made him froze in blush before face slowly smiling right back.
Until his foot quickly misplaced the line and swerved the board.
"Ah!" Max yelped out right when the skateboard left his feet and landed on the ground.
Causing him to fall forward ahead!
Luckily though, Bradley was able to catch him from the end side of the ramp.
Oof!
Both sounded right the two feel to the ground in a soft thud.
"Are you okay?" Bradley asked, rubbing the back of his head from the impact.
"Yeah...I'm fine..." Max said while looking up to see that their eyes have met once more.
With their hearts aligning in a singular rhythmic beat.
And their faces reddening in growing blush.
As the burning silence soon fills in the air between the two for only a slight moment.
Until Max suddenly loses focus of their intense eye lock and tries to move over so that they get off the ground.
"I uh...heh, s-sorry. It's not everyday that I mess up on a skating trick. But I think we should call it a day and start studying for those classes now. Here, I'll help you." Max suggested while offering a hand to help.
"Thanks...." Bradley mumbled out, with his hand now gripped tightly around Max's before pushing himself to stand up as the two started to walk quietly out of the park.
