Prologue

Alas tres na ng madaling araw at tila hindi pa rin makatulog si Aurora. Her attention was focused on the woods being burned on the fireplace in front of her while she was seated on the sofa— enjoying her own company and her wine.
In her deep peace, she suddenly felt that she was being watched by those pairs of eyes. She did her best to hide the nervousness before putting down the wine glass on the side table. She composed herself when she decided to go upstairs in her room. But... those pairs of eyes never leave her. She feels like she was being followed— being watched.
"If I were you, magpakita ka. Stop being a coward." she bravely said— but only the silence answered her back.
She then started to marched up to her room but suddenly stopped when she heard the noise of the piano being played this late time of the day— three o'clock.
She had the urge to see who that rude human is. She slowly went to the end of the living room until she saw no one playing the piano.
Was she hallucinating?
"I just missed him, I guess..." she said.
"Missed who?" she turned her back to see the person who just spoke but failed when she suddenly felt a syringe being injected on her neck.
She woke up feeling the cold surface of the floor. It was damn dirty; mess is everywhere, and the smell made her throw up. She did her best to move only to realize— her feet were chained. Her hands were also tied up on her back, making it hard for her to move.
"Aurora... Palacios... how nice to see you again..."
Aurora looked around, but it was dark. Only a single candle was giving the place enough light. She tried her best to move but failed. She heard footsteps that made her feel more scared of her life. She tried to shout for help, but something was covered in her mouth.
The footsteps went closer... and closer... and closer... until it stopped exactly in front of her eyes.
Those shoes... she saw them before...
The figure knelt his single knee so he could clearly see Aurora, who was struggling in her lying position. Marumi na ang damit nito at magulo na ang ayos. The figure tucked Aurora's hair behind her ears. Aurora tried harder to break the chains until her eyes landed on the eyes that were looking at her.
Those eyes again... those were the same eyes from the intruder who attacked her years ago...
She heard his laughed when she tried to escape the chain again. "This would be fun, Aurora. I can't wait to hear you— begging for your life..."
