Chapter 6- New Palacios

"Anak, sigurado ka ba?" Mercy looked so worried while helping Sam with their bags. "Baka salubungin ka na naman ng shotgun ni Aurora. Nag-aalala ako, anak." naupo si Mercy sa gilid ng kama habang pinapanuod si Sam na ayusin ang gamit ng anak.

"Nay, hindi naman tayo titira doon. May kukunin lang akong mga papeles para kay Ronron. Mag-aaral na 'yan sa pre-school." lumapit si Sam sa anak bago ito lagyan ng bimpo sa likod.

"Tatanggapin niya kaya ang apo niya?"

Ngumiti si Sam bago marahang guluhin ang buhok ni Ronron na abala sa laruan nito. He resembles Paco in his physical features, while he got Sam's color. Matangos ang ilong at mapungay ang mga mata. Mapula din ang labi at ang ganda ng ngiti— a perfect combination of Samantha at Paco.

"Palacios si Ronron, for sure matutuwa si Mama kapag nakita niya na ang apo niya kay Paco." she smiled by the thought of Aurora and Ronron.

After packing their things Rico was the one to fetched them and drove for them going to the estate. Hindi nakatulog sina Sam at Mercy sa kaingayan niya.

"How long have you been working at the estate, Rico?" Sam asked.

"Almost two months na po." Rico giggled.

"Kamusta naman sa estate? Marami pa rin bang gulo?" tanong ni Mercy habang yakap si Ronron na tulog na.

"Maayos naman po. Pero lately, parang may kakaiba po eh." Rico started.

"Anong kakaiba?" the atmosphere became serious. "May gulo ba ulit?" Sam sounded so worried.

"Wala naman po. Feeling lang siguro namin 'yun." Rico laughed to change the topic. After an hour they arrived at the estate.

Halos lahat ng staff ay sinalubong sina Sam at bakas sa mga mukha nila ang tuwa na makita ang isa pang generation ng Palacios. They all welcomed the Castillos' with warm smiles.

"Ma'am! Kamusta po kayo?"

"Hindi maitatanggi, mukha nga ni Sir Paco!"

"Manang-mana kay Sir!"

Ang mga salitang iyon ay nakatulong para maibsan ang kaba ni Sam na harapin muli ang biyenan after so many years. Her eyes traveled around the estate until it landed on the woman who took away her freedom.

"What's going on here?" Aurora asked with authority. The staff gave her way to see the arrival of the other family. Naningkit ang mga mata ni Aurora when she saw Samantha and Mercy.

"What the hell are you two doing here?! Hindi ba dapat nakakulong ka na? After you killed my son!" her voiced raised at her but Sam was eager to stay. "Guards! Get these two out of my property! Now!"

"Mama! I'm thirsty..." Aurora's eyes landed on the baby who approached Samantha at hinila pa ang damit nito. "Water..." yumuko ng bahagya si Sam bago painumin si Ronron ng tubig.

Aurora looked the young boy who resemble her son, Paco. Ronron looked like exactly like her son. From the eyes, nose, lips, the smile and even the way they talked.

When Ronron looked at Aurora, he hid behind Sam. Natakot siya dahil wala itong reaksyon. Sumilip pa si Ronron at nagtago ulit when Aurora tried to steal a glance on him.

"Anak, siya ang mama ng papa mo." Sam said to Ronron bago siya lumuhod sa harap nito. She was carefully explaining every detail para mas maintindihan ng anak.
