Chapter 4- First Date as a Couple!!!
•••••
Gusto mo puntahan natin?" Amando asked Aurora while he was busy cooking for their breakfast.
"Anong problema, Mahal?"
Aurora suddenly looked at him before she took a deep breath. Amando sat beside her— ready to listen to what she was going to say. Aurora cleared her throat before ranting.
"It's Rebecca..." she was hesistating and Amando noticed that. He held her hand to assured her. "She's getting worst..."
"Gusto mo bang kausapin ko siya?"
"H-hindi na... it' just that... I was overthinking... what if..." she looked at Amando.
"What if ano?"
"What if... hindi na siya gumaling?" a sudden pain in her heart strucked her. She doesn't want to think that way.
Amando stood up and went closer to her. He hugged her tightly. "Gagaling siya, Aurora."
"You think so?"
"Oo. Matapang si Rebecca, katulad mo. Alam kong gusto niyang gumaling kaya... susuportahan natin siya."
They stayed like that for a moment. They wanted to feel each other's hearbeat— the music of each other's love.
"Prepare, Mahal. Date tayo ngayon." Amando started fixing the mess in the kitchen before guiding Aurora in the living room.
"H-huh? Date? Bakit?" she was confused.
"First date... as a couple." he winked at her that made both of them laughed.
They were strolling at the not so crowded park near Amando's new house. They were holding each other's hand while talking random things.
"Cotton candy!" Amando pointed at the food stall selling the cotton candy. They walked towards it and bought two for them.
"You're like a kid." Aurora said.
Amando started to remember that day. How they laughed together.
Aurora froze for a while before looking at Amando still talking about Paco.
Amando laughed even harder. "Batang 'yon, nakakamiss..."
"He surely miss you, too."
"Sa tingin mo... anong tingin sa akin ni Paco?" the air became thicker for Aurora. She was having a hard time breathing.
