Chapter 19- My Boyfriend :>

It was an early morning— a good day to start for the lovebirds as Aurora lay beside Amado. It was the same room they had shared countless times before, yet today felt different.
Aurora turned to face him, her heart swelling with admiration as she watched Amado's peaceful expression. "This world doesn't deserve you, Mahal." she whispered, her voice barely above a breath while her fingers run through his cheeks.
In that moment, she realized just how much Amado meant to her. The weight of the rumors swirling around them felt heavier than ever, and she knew it was time to take a stand.
Nang bumangon siya ay agad niyang kinuha ang phone niya at tinawagan ang isang kakilala.
"Therese? Prepare for a press conference. I want it here at the estate in 15 minutes."
She ended the call before looking at Amando again. She leaned down, planting a gentle kiss on his forehead.
"I love you."
After a quick shower and a final look in the mirror, Aurora hurried downstairs, prepped herself for the conference. She wore a tailored outfit that exuded confidence, then descended the grand staircase to assigned tasks to her staff.
Each maid moved with purpose, preparing the grand living room for the swarm of reporters that would soon arrive. Minutes later, the press arrived, their cameras and notebooks at hand.
It took some time to settle the crowd, but finally, Aurora stood before them, the weight of expectation pressing down on her.
"Maybe, you were wondering why I called for a press conference..." Aurora started. "Well, I want to clear some rumors that was spreading— not just here at the Palacios' Estate but also inside my workplace." she glanced at every interviewer who was intently waiting for her next talk. "Rumors not just about my family but about my personal choices."
"Madam, can you elaborate on the matter?" one reporter asked.
"Very well, I want everyone to know that I am dating someone who has been serving the Palacios' Clan for decades now—."
"Madam, serving? Ibig sabihin, katulong niyo?" female reporter interjected, disbelief lacing her tone.
"Why? Is there something wrong about that?" Aurora shot back, her voice firm.
"Pero, Madam, hindi ho ba kriminal ang lalaking tinutukoy ng mga rumors na kumakalat?" another reporter pressed, concern evident in her eyes.
"Oo nga po, paano po kayo nakakasiguro na hindi niya ho kayo tatraydurin?"
Chatters started to envelop the room. Aurora looked around and there she saw the staff and her family; Galvan, Rebecca and the other extended family of the Palacios— each wearing expressions of confusion and concern.
"He won't do that." she said softly, a smile blooming on her lips as she thought of Amando. "He would rather betray his own self kaysa ako."
"Kaya po ba pinagtatanggol niyo siya?" a reporter probed, sensing the emotional undercurrent in her words.
Aurora nodded. "He is different from the rumors that has been spreading."
"Pero, may kumakalat din po na baka ang lalaking 'yan ang maging katapusan ng pagiging Palacios niyo."
Aurora unbelievably laughed at the question.
"So be it. He was there in my beginning, and I would gladly end everything with him."
