Extra Stuff

A/N: I have promised you extras so here they are. Enjoy or you'll stub your toes next time you wake up in the middle of the night to get a cup of water.

For starters, a list of ideas that were cut:

Entries from the main characters' diaries/journals talking about their perspective at the end of some chapters. The reason I didn't proceed with it was because it felt pointless to include. If I'm going to write something like that I might as well include it in the chapter itself or a future one if a moment gets recalled. Might make something like this in the future for side characters, but it will be in the form of an extra.

Having a status page for the cast at the end of every arc so people could have an idea of what to expect from them in a fight or predicament. I did make one that I keep updated but it is for myself so I have some sort of reference of what a character can and can't do. After making it I realized that it can be quite boring for the reader if they know ahead of time everything a character is capable of.

Scenes of Sylvie helping Ellie train her pure mana manipulation. They just came out boring.

Ellies birthday almost ruined thanks to Regis getting Sylvie drunk which resulted in her partially transforming throughout the night. Didn't come out as funny as I wanted it to be, didn't really fit within any chapter without fucking up the pacing and was too short to be released on it's own.

Arthur spending more time with the Twin Horns during his time as an adventurer and even getting Alice to go out dungeon crawling with them. I might still make this into a chapter some time in the future, just not something I want to write at the moment.

A new message from Sylvia after sending Arthur through the portal. At the time I didn't have anything she could've said that Arthur wasn't already aware of or wouldn't tip the scales in his favor even more on top of the time traveling.

Now for a list of what Regis told Tessia about the culture of Arthur's old world during chapter 11 in no particular order:

Every type of dere and what their personalities are like.

What anime was and why it is art.

Some of the games Arthur liked to play when he still had hopes and dreams.

What normal schools were like.

His favorite tags.

Every section of the Geneva convention that was not followed by Agrona and the council.

A brief summary of the Fate series timeline to explain why Sakura is best girl in his opinion. He is wrong.

His personal top 10 list of movies.

Arthur's music preference.

A list of every thing that makes him so majestic.

A list of lines that were cut or I still haven't found a place to use (guess who said what):

Fuck me yourself coward!

Shower? You mean the moist dissociation chamber?

I want to dig holes.

You're a joke and my fist is the punchline. Unfortunately for you, it's a running gag.

Bold of you to assume I have limits.

I clearly remember asking you to turn off your brain for the day. Why is it still working?

Do it! Turn him into a raisin!

Have you considered it's just a skill issue on your part?

Fun facts about the Archivist:

The original concept for the character dates back all the way to 2015, when I had creative writing classes during 8th grade.

It was a recurring character in a series of short stories I wrote for that class throughout the year.

The character was inspired by the two librarians of the school.

In those short stories, the Archivist was born when the soul of the goddess of wisdom was shattered as a result of a war between the seven gods of that world.

After wandering the remains of the world it saw how life was beginning to flourish and made recording the history of the world his purpose.

After thousands of years of doing that, it had a strong enough ego to be called its own being instead of a fragment of a dead goddess and was recognized by the 2 remaining gods as a vital part of the world.

One time, a scholar was trying to revive the goddess of wisdom by collecting all the fragments of her soul but because the Archivist had become its own entity completely separate from her, the plan ultimately failed.

In this fic it was supposed to look like the corner librarian from SSS-Class Suicide Hunter, but having not having a corpreal form or gender just felt right and more in line with what the character had become when I originally came up with the concept.

It still has a self imposed role to play in the story as he guides Arthur towards what it considers a satisfying ending for our hero.

And that's about it for this round of extras, not much as some stuff that was cut will be used in future chapters, so I don't want to risk spoiling plot points.

There will definitely be more in the future, so look forward to that.
