You've been dating Wilehmina Venable for a few months now. When you two first met you were prepared for the worst. You applied for the position to be her assistant and when you got the job many people came to you with their
condolences.

They all had horror stories about the redhead and warned you that her previous assistants either left or were fired days after they were hired.

However, Mina never treated you like that. She was guarded with you but never cruel. It wasn't long before the two of you hit it off and started seeing each other. While many were shocked and questioned why you'd be with her, they didn't know Mina like you did.

She is a sweet and caring girlfriend who treats you like a princess. She would do anything for you. While your relationship has blossomed there are still some battles you face. Her back is one of them. No matter how many times you tell her how beautiful she is she doesn't believe you. She often refuses your help when it comes to her back and doesn't like to show weakness.

But after today you knew she was in pain. The day was long and she was on her feet for most of it. You could tell by her walk that she was hurting and that killed you. Of course, she said she was fine but you knew better.

Once you arrived home you set out a plan. Immediately starting the bathtub getting the water nice and hot and sprinkling some lavender-infused bubbles into the water and lighting a few candles you went in search of your girlfriend.

You found her sitting on the bed downing her medication and hunched over in pain. You kneel down in front of her as you speak.

"Mina, would you join me in the bath?"

"I'm fine y/n," she grumbles.

"I didn't say you weren't. I simply asked if you'd join me. It's been a long day don't you think we both deserve to relax?" you asked giving her your best puppy dog eyes.

She chuckles shaking her head. "Fine. If you insist."

You smiled grabbing her hands as you rise to your feet. Once you were steady you slowly pulled her up. She gives you a small smile as you stand on your tip-toes to kiss the tip of her nose.

"Come on I've got everything ready," you said leading her into the bathroom.

You helped her undress and step carefully into the tub and then undressed yourself.

"Mina let me set behind you."

"No."

"Mina." you sighed.

"Y/n I told you I'm fine," she says her voice laced with irritation.

"I just want to hold you. Please," you whispered.

The redhead sighs as she nods her head. You carefully slide in behind her before pulling her into your arms. She was tense at first but finally, her body relaxes and she lays her head against your shoulder.

You smiled softly as you placed tiny kisses on her shoulder and neck. She hums softly as she Intertwines your fingers in hers.

"Thank you," she whispers.

"For what?"

"For this. For loving me, for staying with me even when I try to push you away. No one ever stays."

"I'm sorry to tell you but you're stuck with me. I love you too much to leave you."

She chuckles "I love you too."

You smiled as you kissed her temple. "You're the best thing that has ever happened to me."

She chuckles shaking her head "No I think it's the other way around little one."

"Oh my God is the great and powerful purple dragon having a "no I love you more" fight with me right now?!" you chuckled.

Mina rolls her eyes "Tell anyone and I'll deny it!"

"No, you wouldn't. You'd never deny how much you love me. Just like I wouldn't deny how much I love you."

"You're right. You've turned me soft." she smiles.

"I think you mean I tamed the Dragon," you said laughing as she smacks your thigh.

"Shut up!" Mina says with a smile.
