I had never felt so hopeless. All the people I've dated were always jerks. I just wish someone would see me for me. Not some famous rich actress who they can play with.
Sitting in a bar on a Thursday night alone is never a good idea. I would've thought I knew that by now, but apparently, I never learn. Either it's filled with people like me that had a hard day at work, or with heartbroken men who are looking for someone they could easily get in their pants.
Even though I was sitting here for both, I would rather go with option one. I couldn't handle the rejection I got, even after all the hundred others, I would have thought I'd feel nothing.
I was wrong. Terribly wrong. This rejection stung.
Sadly, that meant I most likely would be wasted by the time I got home.
While I was sulking with a drink in my hand a beautiful dark-haired girl sat down next to me.
"Looks like you could use some company." she said sounding adorable. I looked at her taking a sip of my drink. "Sure. What brings you here on a fine Thursday night?" I questioned her. "Hard day at work." She plainly replied. Well, that answers my question. "Want to talk about it?" I asked. "I know we just meet but I'd gladly listen." I added.
"I don't think you'd want to know." She stated taking a shot. "Wow, it's that bad, isn't it?" I looked at her taking the shot. That was attractive. "I'm Celina." She ignored my question reaching a hand out for me to shake. "Y/N. Y/N Y/LN" I reply shaking her hand. Her hand is so soft. I look down at it. Stop thinking like that, you just met her.
"Well, what do you do for work?" I asked her, trying to make small talk. "I work for the city." She smiled at me. I laughed at her. "Oh, you take out trash." I winked at her. Flirting was never my strong suite, but I tried my best when it came too pretty girls like Celina. She laughed back with the brightest smile I'd ever seen on someone face. "Yeah, definitely!" she joked back making me smile back.
"So, what do you actually do for work?" I asked, "I'll probably scare you off." She spoke. "Nah, I don't think you can." I challenged staring in her eyes. "Ok then, I'm a cop." She said nervously biting her bottom lip. I bite my lip before replying. "So, you run around in a sexy uniform all day chasing bad guys." I stated laughing a bit. Honestly, I could imagine her in a cop uniform. Only the thought had me blushing. "Yeah, pretty much." She smiled staring into my eyes.
We both leaned in kissing sweetly. I wrapped my arm around her neck, loving it.
Even though we just meet, I could tell I was going to like her.
When we parted. I leaned my forehead on hers. "Want to get out of here, and go somewhere else?" I asked. She nodded her head against me, and that was all it took for me to pay the tab and drag her out of there.
Hope you liked it!
