"You heard that right, Potter," Draco's voice dripped with malice, filling the Great Hall. Every eye turned towards him as he stepped forward, a smirk tugging at his lips. "Elyra Black—daughter of the Azkaban escapee himself, Sirius Black."

The room fell into a stunned silence, the kind that only happens right before a storm. Elyra's heart pounded in her chest, louder than the gasps and whispers starting to ripple through the students around her.

"I guess you forgot to mention that little detail to your Gryffindor friends, didn't you, cousin?" Draco spat the word like a curse. His pale eyes flicked between her and Harry, savoring the chaos he'd caused.

Elyra stood frozen, her blood running cold. The weight of her hidden past crashed over her like a tidal wave. She had always known this moment would come—but not like this, not in front of everyone.

She could feel the eyes of her classmates boring into her, their gazes sharp with judgment, confusion, and betrayal. Her legs wobbled as if the very floor beneath her was slipping away.

"Elyra..." Harry's voice was soft, his confusion palpable. He stepped toward her, but the distance between them felt immeasurable.

She couldn't bear to look at him. At any of them.

Everything was about to change.
