Their Distance

Chapter Five

When the cloud move away from the moon, the light of the moon shine down on the two of them. "What do you want Lan Wangji? Are you still trying to take me back to Gusu so that you can lock me up and punish me?" Wei Ying tone is full of anger right about now.

Lan Zhan shake his head no, 'No, not lock you up or punish you.' Lan Zhan turn his hand into a fist as he fisted his clothes. 'Why can't you said it, Lan Wangji?!' When Lan Zhan is about to open his mouth at what he want to said, Wei Ying beat him to it, "Get lost Lan Wangji," with just that he walk away from there leaving a broke up Lan Zhan.

As Wei Ying walk back to his room, he tighten his hand on his flute, 'I'm sorry Lan Zhan, I can't let you get anymore closer to me. Your heart is full of purest while mine is full of darkness. I can't taint your warm and calm soul, I'm sorry. Please try to understand.'

The next day, they are ready to head out to fight with the Wen disciple and Wen Ruohan puppet. "Wei Wuxian, why don't you come with me and Jin Zixuan to lead the fight first?" Asked Jiang Cheng.

"You go on first, I will go with Shijie by horse," Jiang Cheng gave a nod, he left with Jin Zixuan to lead the fight first. Just like he said he would, Jiang Yanli is on a big carriage while he ride next to the carriage.

Wei Ying sigh, "A-Xian, what's wrong?" Asked Jiang Yanli.

Jiang Yanli follow Wei Ying eye, she scooted to Wei Ying side, "A-Xian, do you have feeling for Lan er gongzi?" She whispered so that no one can hear her beside Wei Ying. His eye went wide, a blush creeped up on both of his cheek, "Shijie!" Jiang Yanli giggle at this.

"A-Xian, I can tell that Lan er gongzi love you as well but how come there is a long distance between the two of you?" Wei Ying can see Lan Zhan is looking at him, "Since you have Lan er gongzi here with you. I will go on ahead to see if Jiang Cheng and that peacock need help or not."

Wei Ying dash away from there very fast since he can no longer be in the same place as Lan Zhan. 'Wei Ying,' Jiang Yanli know that Lan Zhan want to go after her little didi but he couldn't since he is only one who is strong enough to take down any Wen that want to attack them.

"Lan er gongzi," Lan Zhan turn to look at Jiang Yanli, "Give A-Xian time to tell you what happen to him. He need someone to believe in him and to stay by his side."

"Mn," was all Lan Zhan said.

Wei Ying didn't really went to help Jiang Cheng and Jin Zixuan, he want to get away from Lan Zhan, he just want to find a place to calm his mind and heart. 'What to do? Shijie ask me question, question that I don't understand myself.'

He end up in a forest that isn't far from NeverNight, he can see the battle going on down there. Wei Ying then see a big fire coming out from the small volcano near the group, a massive fire shoot out from there as it turn into a strong fighting monster like human. "What was that?" Wei Ying stand up from the tree branch.

Wei Ying then look at Jiang Cheng, 'He too stubborn, he won't leave from there,' Wei Ying flew down from where he is at. "Hey Jiang Wanyin! If you don't leave from there you will end up getting kill instead!"

Jiang Cheng and the Jiang disciple see Wei Ying behind them, "Sect leader let's go! Da Shixiong is right!" The Jiang disciple pull Jiang Cheng away from there. "You too Jin Zixuan!" Jin Zixuan pull his disciple away from there, this way none of them will get kill by the new monster human like fierce corpse.

Seeing that Jiang Cheng, Jin Zixuan and the other disciple gone, Wei Ying also left from there. When Wei Ying arrive in Langya, he didn't want to go in there, he know that Lan Zhan won't leave him alone no matter where he is at. He look up at the tower, 'maybe that will work,' Wei Ying jump up on the tower, and then he walk over to the other side to see what is going on down inside of Langya.

'Interesting it look like many of them has been turn into fierce corpse when they got touch by Wen Ruohan corpse,' "mhmm," Wei Ying turn his attention to Lan Zhan, who is sending his spiritual energy into one of the Lan disciple.

*Sigh* "Idiot that won't work, sending your spiritual energy into them will take a very long time for them to become human again."

When night time has come, Wei Ying take out his flute he begin to play an eerie music and this cause his yin Hufu to come out as it went to float high above where the disciple has been turn into fierce corpse.

Lan Zhan who is still awake in his room, he hear a familiar flute playing in the distance. He got run out of his room to follow that sound.

About an hour or so later, Wei Ying see that all of the disciple went unconscious after he take out all of the Yin iron inside of them. He stop playing since he know that someone will come out to find the source of the flute sound.

As Lan Zhan went out into the place where all of the disciple that got infected by Wen Ruohan puppet, he see that all of them went unconscious. "What happen?" He went to check their neck, "the black mark is gone...then...Wei Ying!"

"Wei Ying! If that is you, why won't you show yourself? I know that you're avoiding me, am I right? I....I," Lan Zhan sigh, 'I give up....no matter how hard I try to talk to Wei Ying, he end up giving me the cold shoulder,' "I won't bother you anymore. I won't look your way either."

Wei Yang who is sitting on top of the tower is watching Lan Zhan from above him. It hurt Wei Ying to know that he is the cause of this, he know that he can't get close to Lan Zhan anymore because if he do, he won't be able to stop himself.

"Wei Ying....I promise."
