Their Distance

Chapter Nine

Wei Ying went to Nie side of the room, he went to seat down next to Nie Huaisang, "Wei Xiong, your spot is over there," Nie Huaisang pointed to the other side of the room. "Jiang Cheng is not here, if I am alone then they will bother me non stop," Nie Huaisang see Wei Ying pointed at the other sect leader and Jin Guangshan.

"Wei xiong, how come?" Asked Nie Huaisang. Wei Ying take Nie Huaisang hand, "Ah Chifeng Zun, can I take Nie Xiong for a second?" Nie Mingjue just nodded his head. "Come on Nie xiong," Lan Zhan who is watching this fisted his hand on his clothes.

When the two of them are outside Wei Ying look around the place, then he quietly whispered to Nie Huaisang to hear. Then he pull back, "that's what happen?" Wei Ying nodded his head.

"What will Jiang xiong do about it?" Wei Ying put both of his hand behind his head, "I don't know."

"Then if you need any help just let me know okay?"

"Thank you Nie xiong." The two soon hear the wedding ceremony is about to start, "I will head inside first."

"Mn." Nie Huaisang walk back inside first, Wei Ying stay outside for a little bit longer before going back inside. Wei Ying doesn't know it since he is looking out into the distance from the Jin clan tower, Lan Zhan is standing at the other end looking at his back.

When he turn around to walk back inside he see Lan Zhan is at the other end looking at him. His eye went wide to see Lan Zhan is looking at him, the scenery around them disappear as flower petal is flying around the two of them.

"Hey Wei Wuxian! Come in already!" Jiang Cheng voice got the two of them to come back to reality, "Be there in a second Jiang Cheng!" As Wei Ying walk in the direction where Lan Zhan is at, he avoid looking at him.

The two felt as if their heart aren't connecting anymore, they felt like the red string that connected the two of them has been cut into two.

"Did something happen between the two of you?" Jiang Cheng asked as he look back at where Lan Zhan is at. "No....nothing happen, that's right how long are we staying here?"  Jiang Cheng know what Wei Ying is saying.

"Tonight and tomorrow night."

"What are you kidding me?" Jiang Cheng shake his head no. 'Another day here....I don't think I can handle it,' once Wei Ying sit down next to Jiang Cheng, Wei Ying glanced at the empty table next to Lan Xichen.

That is he see Lan Zhan walking in with a down casting face. When Lan Zhan sat down next to his brother, he glanced across the room, and he caught Wei Ying eye looking at him.

As for Wei Ying, he look away from Lan Zhan, 'Wei Wuxian Wei Wuxian, how long will you keep this up? Maybe until we deal with Jin Guangshan and Jin Guangyao. Who else is in this as well?'

As the banquet went on until night fall, many guest went back to their room to rest up and some stay to talk to other sect or to Jin Zixuan and Jin Yanli.

"Jiang Cheng, keep Shijie safe, I don't know who will take her away from Jin Zixuan side since he is talking to other people."

"Okay," Wei Ying gave Jiang Cheng a pat on his shoulder as he walk away from there. Lan Zhan take this chance to talk to Wei Ying, so he got up and follow wherever Wei Ying is going.

Wei Ying know that he is being followed, he decide to walk to a secluded place, a place where no one is around or no one will come around.

Lan Zhan see Wei Ying walk into a garden, a garden that have no one around at this hour. The place get darker and darker and darker and darker, then he felt someone pulling him down onto the grass below him.

"Who ar-" Lan Zhan felt a warm lips on his, then he felt his two arm is lock above his head. The lips move down to hush neck, he held back his moaning since he doesn't want anyone else to hear them or see them out here.

The lips left his neck and then he hear, "shhhhhh you will scare away the fireflies Hanguang Jun."

One by one Lan Zhan see small green light coming out from the brush around them. When all of the fireflies flies around the two of them, Lan Zhan see Wei Ying is looking down at him.

Wei Ying can see the sadness in Lan Zhan eye. He got off of Lan Zhan as he help him up. Then he lay back down on the grass with his arm behind his back. "Hanguang Jun, don't make that face."

"Wei Ying!"

Wei Ying got up, he put one hand to Lan Zhan cheek, "Trust me? You will get my answer soon. Something has happened with the Jiang sect. I need to help Jiang cheng first before I can answer all of your questions."

Lan Zhan put his hand on Wei Ying hand that is on his cheek, he lean into Wei Ying hand, "Mn. Just please don't push me away. I don't like it, Wei Ying."

Wei Ying know that Lan Zhan want to cry, so he pull him into his arm as the two of them fall down to the grass beneath them. Lan Zhan fisted Wei Ying clothes in his hand, "I'm sorry Lan Zhan. I won't push you away anymore," 'it hurt me too. I don't like seeing you getting hurt because of me'

The two stay there for a very long time until Wei Ying felt a soft breathing in his arm, 'I guess he fell asleep,' so Wei Ying take Bichen, put it on top of Lan Zhan as he carried Lan Zhan in his arm.

Wei Ying decided to take Lan Zhan back to his room since Lan Zhan is holding tighten onto his robe. 'This night will be a long night, right Lan Zhan!' He look down at Lan Zhan who is snuggling into his arm .

'Lan Zhan, from now on please believe in me more, this way I won't push you away from me.' When he got to his room in the Jin clan, Wei Ying went to put Lan Zhan down on the bed, "Hanguang Jun, is alright now," he whispered into Lan Zhan ear. Lan Zhan let go of Wei Ying clothes.

He gave Lan Zhan a kiss on the forehead before taken off his outer robe. When he is done, he went to take Bichen from Lan Zhan chest, put it on the table and then he went to help Lan Zhan to take off his as well.

When Wei Ying lay down on the bed, Lan Zhan scoot closer to where Wei Ying is at. He look at Lan Zhan forehead ribbon, "Lan Zhan, what does your forehead ribbon mean?" Wei Ying pull it off of his head, he hold it up above him, 'it seem like the Lan forehead ribbon is important to them.' (Not to confuse you all but Lan Zhan is still sleeping)

Wei Ying bring it down to his lip and kissed Lan Zhan forehead ribbon, "Lan Zhan."
