Rin’s POV
“Seriously, Sataro?” I glare at my brother, the so-called genius, who’s standing there dumbfounded in front of his newly summoned Rider who, judging by his appearance, looks like someone who got lost on his way to a cosplay convention.
“Uh…” Sataro scratches his head, staring at the pink-haired knight in front of him. The servant is wearing what can only be described as a *frilly mess* of armor. “You’re... a girl, right?” he asks, though he seems unsure even of that.
The knight—or whatever—grins, flipping his cape dramatically. “Actually, I’m Astolfo! And I’m a boy, thank you very much!”
Sataro’s face twists in confusion. “Wait… what? You’re a dude?” He looks the Rider up and down, clearly thrown off. “You sure about that?”
I can’t help but let out a snort. “Of course you’d summon that,” I say, rolling my eyes. “How the heck did you manage to summon a servant like this without a catalyst, without a single clue of who you were even trying to summon?”
Sataro looks at me, shrugging as if this whole mess is completely normal. “I just used a bit of mana. I thought it’d be fun. No big deal, right?”
I pinch the bridge of my nose. “No big deal? You summoned a servant without a catalyst! And you ended up with a fem-boy knight who's dressed like a rainbow exploded on him!” I wave a hand at Astolfo, who is now cheerfully adjusting his cape and humming to himself.
“Hey!” Astolfo protests. “I’m adorable and I can fight!” He winks at me, and I just roll my eyes again.
Archer, who's been watching this entire thing with that smug grin of his, speaks up next. “It’s not really that surprising, Rin. There’s a precedent for summoning servants without catalysts. I mean, look at Shirou. He’s going to summon Artoria by complete accident in about a week.” He smirks. “You know, right after school, when everything goes haywire.”
I glare at Archer, annoyed by his nonchalance. “Ugh, you and your spoilers.” I cross my arms. “Don’t tell me we’re going to have a repeat of every timeline where Shirou’s clueless self summons the Saber and gets thrown into the Grail War again.”
“Well,” Archer shrugs. “It’s not like timelines always play out the same way, but hey, you never know.” He winks. “I mean, Sataro summoning Astolfo here is already a little twist, isn’t it?”
Sataro, still recovering from the surprise of summoning Astolfo, speaks up, “Hey, Rider—what kind of Noble Phantasms do you have?”
Astolfo brightens up, puffing his chest out with pride. “Oh! I’ve got all sorts of fun stuff! For starters, I’ve got my *Hippogriff*, a flying magical beast! And let’s not forget my Trap of Argalia, a lance that knocks opponents off their mounts, and my La Black Luna, a sword that—”
“Wait, Hippogriff?!” Sataro interrupts, looking impressed. “You ride a mythical beast? Now that’s cool!”
“See? Told you I’m awesome!” Astolfo beams.
I watch the interaction with a mix of amusement and irritation. “This house is becoming a circus,” I mutter under my breath. First Sataro summons this, and now...
My thoughts are interrupted when, out of nowhere, Artemis—because of course she had to join in on this madness—steps forward and starts her own summoning circle. “I’m not gonna be left behind in this summoning race!” she says, her voice filled with determination. “I’m not about to be without a Pokemon.”
Pokemon? I sigh.
Before I can even question her, the summoning circle glows brightly, and standing before us is a woman with a cold, calculating expression. Her robes are regal, her staff glistening with magical energy. She looks around the room, assessing the situation, before speaking.
“I am Medea, summoned as Caster. Now, who is my Master?”
Artemis grins proudly. “That would be me!” She then looks over at me smugly. “Don’t say I don’t contribute.”
I stare at the scene unfolding in front of me—*Sataro* with his *Rider Astolfo*, *Artemis* with her *Caster Medea*. And of course, there’s *Archer* standing to the side, completely enjoying this chaos.
“You’ve *got* to be kidding me,” I mutter. “This house now has three servants?!”
Artemis chuckles. “Oh, don’t look so upset, Rin. It’s not like we’re going to fight to the death or anything.”
“But we’re in the middle of the Holy Grail War!” I snap. “This is a mess! We can’t just casually have three servants hanging around the house like this is some kind of RPG party!”
“Well, it is kind of like that now,” Sataro says, grinning. “I mean, we’ve got a Rider, a Caster, and an Archer. We’re only missing a Saber, Lancer, and Assassin to complete the set!”
I shoot him a look that could kill. “Do not even think about summoning more.”
Sataro holds up his hands, still smirking. “Alright, alright. I’ll hold off. For now.”
I groan, rubbing my temples. This is spiraling way out of control.
But of course, Archer can’t resist one last jab. “Hey, Rin, how does it feel to know your house is filled with more servants than you can even keep track of? Maybe you should start working on your strategy.”
“Shut up, Archer!” I snap, but the damage is done. Archer just chuckles to himself, while Astolfo is busy inspecting his outfit, Medea is silently observing everyone, and Artemis is… probably planning something even more ridiculous.
This Grail War is already a complete disaster, and it hasn’t even started yet.
Great.
