Rin's POV:
I stood there, arms crossed, tapping my foot as I surveyed the absolute circus my subspace had become. What was once a pristine, functional dimension a perfect reflection of my efficient magecraft was now an unrecognizable mess.
Shirou was once again sent flying, landing with a thud that made me wince. He groaned and struggled to his feet as Artoria loomed over him, her smirk dangerously wide. Was she enjoying this? Definitely.
“Come on, Shirou. If you don’t improve, I might accidentally go all out,” Artoria teased, gripping her invisible Excalibur like it was a toy and not a legendary weapon capable of leveling mountains.
Poor Shirou. I almost felt bad for him. Almost.
“Artoria, maybe dial it down a notch?” I called out, only for her to glance at me with a knightly grin.
“I am simply helping him grow stronger,” she said, as though tossing Shirou around like a ragdoll was a perfectly acceptable form of training.
Meanwhile, Archer decided it was the perfect time to needle me. “You know,” he began in that infuriatingly smug tone, “the other versions of you wouldn’t let their subspace turn into this… what’s the word? Ah, yes. A zoo.”
I rounded on him, heat rising to my face. “Oh, shut up, Archer! I don’t care what those other ‘Rins’ did or didn’t do. This is my subspace, and I’ll deal with it however I want!”
He smirked, crossing his arms in that way that made me want to punch him. “Sure, sure. Just saying, it’s not exactly inspiring confidence.”
Before I could retort, Artemis, the primary cause of this disaster, skipped past me, her giggle grating on my nerves. She had just finished adding *flowers* to the ridiculous pond she’d conjured, as though I needed a botanical garden in here.
“Artemis!” I snapped. “This isn’t your playground!”
She turned to me with an infuriatingly sweet smile. “Oh, Rin, don’t be such a grump. I’m just sprucing things up a bit. It’s cute, isn’t it?” With a flick of her wrist, a swing appeared, hanging from a newly grown tree.
“This isn’t cute!” I shouted, gesturing wildly at the chaos around me. “This is supposed to be a practical storage space, not a freaking enchanted forest!”
Artemis just shrugged. “You’re welcome.”
I groaned, pinching the bridge of my nose. If that wasn’t bad enough, Satoro was off in his own world, tormenting Astolfo, who was currently twirling in his pink dress and holding up a pair of jeans like they were radioactive.
“Master, why are you like this?” Astolfo whined, looking like a kicked puppy.
“Because you need to stop dressing like a princess and start dressing like a proper knight,” Satoro replied, completely deadpan.
Astolfo pouted. “But I like my dress!”
Kiana, Satoro’s obnoxiously tiny fairy companion, buzzed in like an oversized mosquito. “Yo, losers!” she yelled, her metallic suit shining in the artificial sunlight. “I’m about to revolutionize this place. Y’all should be thanking me for existing.”
I stared at her, then at Satoro. “Why do you even have her?”
“She’s useful,” he said with a shrug, not even looking up as he tinkered with her suit.
“Useful? She’s a menace!”
From somewhere behind me, I heard Archer chuckle. “She’s got a point.”
I whipped around, glaring at him. “You don’t get to agree with me, Archer!”
He raised an eyebrow. “Touchy, aren’t we?”
“Touchy?* You try dealing with this chaos and see how you feel!”
By now, Shirou had managed to drag himself over, looking battered but still somehow annoyingly optimistic. “Rin, it’s not so bad. Everyone’s just... having fun.”
I jabbed a finger at him. “Fun? This isn’t fun! This is my subspace, and it’s been hijacked by lunatics!”
Shirou scratched the back of his head, clearly trying to find a diplomatic response. “Well, maybe Artemis did overdo it a little…”
“A little? She turned it into a theme park!”
Archer laughed again, and I whipped my glare back to him. “I swear, Archer, if you don’t stop laughing, I’m going to—”
“To what?” he interrupted, his smirk widening. “Throw me out? Oh, wait, you can’t. This is everyone’s subspace now.”
I opened my mouth to yell at him but stopped when Medea floated by, completely ignoring the chaos around her. She was too busy fiddling with some kind of magical device. “You know, Rin,” she said absentmindedly, “you could learn a thing or two from Artemis. This setup is quite efficient for mana storage.”
I stared at her, aghast. “Not you too!”
Medea just shrugged and continued on her way.
I threw my hands up in defeat. “This place is going to drive me insane!”
From his perch under a tree, Satoro smirked at me. “Face it, Rin. You’ve lost control.”
“I hate all of you!” I shouted, stomping off toward one of the newly created mountains.
As I stormed away, I could hear Kiana laughing, Shirou trying to mediate, and Archer’s infuriatingly smug chuckle.
This was supposed to be my space. What had I done to deserve this madness?
