"Hello Mom"

A lady in her late 20s gives her mother a call. Mrs. Jeon is quite surprised to hear her daughter's voice again for some time now

"How are you Mom? I'm sorry for not contacting you.. you know my husband is always on a trip and i just can't leave the house, my son has started schooling"

She explains right away, sometimes Mrs. Jeon forgot that she has a daughter.. she's not approving of their works so she keeps her life private and low profile and their parents is agreeing to it. She wants a peaceful life away from the governments shenanigans and secretcy. All she wants is be a good wife and a house maker

"I know and it's fine.. I'm better now"
Mrs. Jeon holds the phone tighter, she wants to invites her family for once since her birthday will be coming

"That's great news.. how's Jungkook hyung? Is he still mad at me?"

"Your still thinking about it?"

"Of course.. he's the only sibling i have. I hope all the things between us will be settle"

"He's not mad at you, he's just displeased with you leaving us"

"and i hope he can understand now"

"I'll talk to him again... But, will you be here for my birthday?"

"I'll try.."

Mrs. Jeon is used to it. Maybe when she's still sick, her daughter can visit him atleast 4 times a year but now that she knows she's all good, it might be lessen

"is he.. is he taking fights from that place?"

"sometimes.. but he's having a much better job now, he's now a bodyguard"

"let me guess.. his boss is a powerful individual in the politics"

"no.. she's a doctor, in fact she's the one helps me get better"

"no powerful person behind it? Remember the last time he became a bodyguard for a family of..."

"he resigned on that position.. stop thinking of your brother a bad person.. you know he's taking that kind of job because of me being sick"

"i know Mom, I'm not saying he is like one of them... i just can't understand why he can't avoid those king of people.."

"he's part of the armed force and he's good at it. Of course some people wanted him to work with them"

"please.. you just called.. let's stop talking about him"

"yeah, I'm sorry Mom.. I'll be there on your birthday.. this time I'll make sure of it"

The line got cut and that's the only time Jungkook speaks makes his mother flinches. He's been standing outside her open door listening to her and by the way she talks, he already knows who's on the other line

"How's Julie?"
Mrs. Jeon has her hands on her chest, head turns to his way

"How long has you been standing there?"
Jungkook smirks and steps inside, he got her a bag of fruits

"She's fine i guess.. she said she'll be coming on my birthday.."

"Don't expect too much.. you know her. If her husband told her not to, she will be not coming.."

"It's not like that"
Mrs Jeon scolds him, Jungkook doesn't like the man she got married to but his opinion doesn't matter as long as his not hurting her physically and emotionally, he's good and even she won't tell him, he will know. He has his way to know
