sophie had made sure her plane left at the same time as joe's. because while he had things to do with his team, that gave her time to get unpacked and settled back into her nyc apartment and go to the studio for a little bit. she texted joe and told him she would let him know when she got out of the studio, and he promised he'd let her know when he was done with practice and the two hadn't talked since.
sophie had spent half an hour talking and catching up with jack antonoff when she got to the studio. and of course he loved the song she'd showed him. the one she had written about joe. and he was also extremely happy she was back to writing love songs again. truthfully, she was too.
because joe lit up a spark in sophie's heart that hadn't been lit in forever. it had only been a few hours and she already missed him as if they hadn't seen each other in weeks.
